Check your bills before you leave. The length of calls I had made did not reflect on the amount charged. They doubled and sometimes tripled the amount. Raffles moto should be, "when caught, deny first, make up a story, say you will call back and NEVER call."
When I raised the issue, they tried to lie about it and then eventually repaid monies back. Worst of all, my credit card had been charged at least 8000 dollars in small amounts in the time I was there. At the end of my stay, totally unaware, I paid, again, my bill for my 10 days stay only to realise after my arrival home that 8000 extra dollars had been debited from my account.. When I called about it, again Raffles tried to lie, suggested I had booked another room (I was on my own on business) Raffles then denied taking these monies out. In the hands of my lawyer. I will never stay there again, because I don't like fraudsters or bad accounting staff. Nice hotel, but definitely not worth the hassle. There are equal, if not better hotels around.

With so many obvious choices in Beverley Hills - this may fall off the radar for many travellers. If you are looking to 'be on show', this maybe not the option for you.

However, if you want a well run, perfectly maintained hotel, this is a good as you get. The decor is minimalist classic and has not been updated much since the hotel originally opened. It is not stunning, or memorable, but well thought out. The exceptional aspect of the hotel is how well it is maintained and is spotless.

There is a lovely room terrace and pool. The gym is good, with a nice view of the Hollywood Hills. There is a small spa, which looks nice, but I did not have a treatment. The lounge is good for business meetings, but not if you are looking for a 'hot' nightspot.

Staff are very attentive and well trained.

With 'hip' hotels coming and going - this timeless classic will remain because they get the basics right. Great maintenence and service.

Raffles L'Ermitage is miles above its competition!!! My family and I stayed at this Five Star, FIve Diamond treasure this summer and had an amazing experience! The hotel itself is a beautiful but unique little treasure, nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet within walking distance of the fantastic shopping of Rodeo Drive!!! The staff at the front door was beyond helpful, as were every single staff member we encountered!! Every staff member we came across were friendly, courteous and always willing to help! Housekeeping staff seemed to be invisible, like little elves who would come in clean your room, turn down your bed and yet never be seen. Our family dinner in Jaan was fantastic - service, the cuisine. The staff in private dining always remembered to bring a little treat for my children. The entire hotel itself was extremely well maintained, it was clear the staff took great pride in keeping this gem in top shape. It is difficult to know where to start - the service, the product, the overall experience was that which my family and I have not experienced in a luxury property! The view from the pool deck is breathtaking, on a clear day you can see not only the Hollywood sign, but the hills of Bel AIr, Beverly Hills, and Griffith Park observatory! Room amenities included two of the best features - complimentary wireless and complimentary water and sodas! We can't wait to return for our next family vacation!!!

I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Beverly Hills. The bar was full or gorgous people. The service and style was contemporary and excellent. This hotel has an amazing Spa and Fitness facility on the 8th floor. It made me want to work out each day. The food was some of the best that I have ever had. Raffles L'Ermitage should be the benchmark for all the hotels in Beverly Hills
