“A Great Stay...”

Meadowlark Country House

5 of 5 stars
Dallas, TX.
Jun 15, 2008

My wife and I recently stayed at at Meadowlark Country House and it was truly a pleasure. The proprietors, Richard and Kurt, have really put a lot into making this property beautiful, relaxing, comfortable and a joy to stay at. Our room (the "Garden Room") was very nice... a comfortable bed, a nice large marble bathroom, and everything had been maintained nicely. The pool had to undergo repairs while we were there and Richard actually called me prior to our stay to let us know ahead of time, in case this was not satisfactory to us. I truly appreciate this level of consideration and told him we still wanted to stay there. The breakfasts were fantastic - homemade and delicious with some form of eggs each day - something we needed to have fuel for all of our sightseeing and wine tasting! We would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone visiting Calistoga and the Wine Country. L&T Lee - Dallas, TX.

We recently spent two nights at the Inn ... our first time in Napa Valley ... and it was really wonderful!! We stayed in the roof garden room and it was very large, comfortable and had a huge patio / balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and foothills. We watched wild turkeys and deer and many beautiful garden birds from the balcony. Breakfast was excellent ... homemade pancakes should definetly be requested. The perfect place to stay while in Napa Valley. I would absolutely recommend it very highly!!

Meadowlark was a perfect way to end the day in the wine country! My girlfriend and I stayed in the pond room and enjoyed the patio, loved the bedding and great views all over the property. We had a nice breakfast with great conversation with fellow guests! We missed Richard and Kurt but the fun couple who served in their place were extremely helpful and friendly!

“Peaceful, relaxing and will visit again”

We booked a stay at the Meadowlark to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful B&B - very clean and well decorated. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were very gourmet and delicious. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

The pool area is being remodeled and has a very large sunny deck area. There is an in ground hot tub and sauna. We enjoyed soaking in the tub, laying in the sun and sipping wine. Totally relaxing! They even arranged for a massage therapist to give my wife a massage on our deck.

The location is near town and near many local wineries. The setting is peaceful with horses on the property and wild turkeys in the fields. Lots of trees and flowers.

We would not hesitate to recommend the Meadowlark - we will definitely go back. This is a unique property that offers a very relaxing experience....J & S

My wife and I just returned from an extended stay at the Meadowlark Inn. The room we stayed in the “Mountain View” was very nicely appointed and had excellent views from numerous windows. It’s refreshing to sit in the jacuzzi bath and look out into the woods that run behind the B&B. It’s centrally located so the wineries and restaurants of Napa or Sonoma are just minutes away. If you’re not familiar with the Valley, Kurt and Richard are very knowledgeable on places to eat, wineries, riding and walking paths and other points of interest. A different breakfast was served everyday, and they where all delicious. The Meadowlark offers a clothing optional pool with hot tub and sauna that is very respectful for your privacy. We will be back for sure.
