First - you must have an appointment - this is not a public tasting vineyard. However, once you arrive, it is clear that you in for a treat - excellent products, knowledgable and helpful staff, and a beautiful vineyard retreat along the mountainside. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had not experienced Schramsberg champagne (well sparkling wine, but you get it) prior to this trip. The tour was at the suggestion of friends. WOW! Schramsberg Cellars had to be one of the best stops we made in Napa. I disagree with the last post that Schramsberg is unwelcoming. You will find many places in Napa which require an appointment (Opus One for example). It is a very popular place with a very cool, but limited tasting room. The tour was informative, and the caves quite cool. The grounds, as noted by others, are beautiful.

The sparkling wine? Amazing. We are now members of the Cellar Club as it is great to receive shipments with wines from their library which cannot be purchased in our area.

Two thumbs up and a must if you are visiting Napa. Make an appointment, it is definitely worth it!

We had driven all the way from Sonoma just to do a tasting which they would not allow . it is a long drive & hard to find - I would give it a miss - go to J Winery - it was so busy and bubbly there - they do tastings with food pairings either at the bar or in their bubble room ( book this it was SO popular!)

Would be number one on my list of things to absolutely not miss in Napa Valley. Friendly people, generous tastings...All A+++
