Not too expensive if you're located in Encino or West LA, but Camarillo?? Entree prices are high and service is lazy. Portions are small (4 scallops on the scallop entree) and most food was served tepid. The staff seemed distracted and unaware. Kind of cool atmosphere, but the food needs to be better if they want to command those prices.

Saw the March 1 review and had to relate our visit last summer. Thought our experience was due to a new place ironing out bugs. Guess the bugs aren't ironed out yet. We had very flaky service, and mediocre food. One can try too hard to be LA, and there are many fine-tasting offerings in Camarillo without paying these prices.

Safire won't be getting my family's business again. We ate there the first time on the same day of their review in The Star. The meals were delicious, although quite pricey. My husband decided to surprise me for a special birthday dinner there, along with 17 other family members. He had already told everyone how the good food would be. Oh my gosh, what a mistake! ALL of our potatoes arrived cold. The prime ribs were thin, grisly and of inferior quality. Not one of us had a meal that could be recommended. The service on this visit wasn't any better than the food.
