I have never ever written a review in my life but felt compelled to put something down to save you all from this hell hole.

Trust me this place is the worst on the planet and I have stayed in some grotty hotels. Once checked in we noticed that all the curtains were closed and the room was in darkness. We turned on the light and I can only describe it as a candle flickering in the corner..... We pulled back the curtains to reveal what we had got ourselves into, Instead of replacing the carpet in the room they appear to have cut around the bed... "Hey it saved them having to take the bed out the room". On closer inspection we noticed that the bed sheets were not clean. The bathroom was like something you would find at a festival......

If you close your eyes and imagine a crack house with pimps waiting outside your door you will have a good picture of the nite Inn.

Being a fellow bargain hunter I came to realise that this is a no go, go stay at the Hilton over the road and enjoy your holiday, It may be $100 more but just do it!!! Oh and try get your money back from the reception is another experience.... GOOD LUCK

“left immediately after seeing the room”

Got the place through the SWA website as the closest to Universal Studios. We checked in room 122 and noticed that the very old and dirty carpet has not been even vacuumed (looked like crumbs left over). The towels in the bathrooms had stains, yellow and reddish that seems were left over from the wash. The spredsheet/blanket were smelly. The sheets seemed clean. The mattress did not feel very comfortable either, soft spot in the middle. There was the typical smell of smoke even though the whole place is supposedly non-smoking. The air conditioner was missing the control knob to adjust the temperature. The single-pane window had smelly, old looking drapes, and it looked onto the side of the building where one of the workers just came down the stairs and dumped two black garbage bags. When I opened the window, it was stinking out there.
Went out to the front desk and told them about the room condition and asked for a refund. Their answer was "no refunds"
We were very disappointed, just left and went elsewhere for the night. From their website it looks like a nice place, don't be fooled. The WORST place I have seen in years of world wide travel

This hotel has been the most awful i have stayed in my life. I had to ask for money back at 4am. We got up to an inching body at 4am we turn on the light and the bed was infested with bed bug all over about 25 bugs. we pack out thing and left immediately . we had to go the hospital the next day because my husband had a bad reaction to the bites from the hotel.

Management Response

The Property is definitely not the hilton, but we have a clean bill of health all furniture, fixture 7 Capeting is newer. The only problem we faced was bed bugs that were brought in by other travelers in a few rooms and we have replaced everything in these rooms and also speent a fortune to fumigate them. It is unjust and unfair to have this comment displayed for the property as we have no control over the Bed Bug or roaches that are brought into every hotel by travelers and all that the Hotel can do is monitor the fumigation of the pests.

“Filthy, Dirty, Disgusting”

Nite Inn @ Universal City

I stayed at this hotel after being forced to after driving for hours in the middle of the night looking for a room. The hotel itself is old, decrepit and dirty. The parking lot was tiny and hard to manuver in. The room, which we upgraded to a jacuzzi tub, looked like it hadnt been thoroughly cleaned since the 70's when it was built. The towels were threadbare and stained, the blankets probably hadnt been washed in years were burned and stained as well. I didnt sleep well thinking of all the creepy crawlies that must have been in that room...if you value cleanliness and basic sanitaion dont stay there.

Oh. My. Goodness. Unfortunately, we were given one of those horrible rooms up a little rickety staircase on the roof. They were booked that night so we couldn't switch rooms. I don't know what was worse, the room or the exposed wiring wrapped in plastic bags and tape as we walked to our room on the roof.

The bed was a full...not queen like we wanted. And we were told there would be internet access and there wasn't. Between the roaches, graffiti on the wallhangings, flooding of the bathroom by the shower, sketchy sheets, dirty carpet, and creepy guys that were hanging around the parking lot looking in the cars...we barely got a wink of sleep. In fact, we drove around looking for another hotel that night but it was too late to get one!

The next night, we got a room at the Hilton in downtown LA. I paid 116 dollars (AAA rate) for a room at the Hilton and it was pure luxury. I paid 80 dollars for a room at the Nite Inn and it was a complete ripoff.

I will NEVER stay at this place again. It was disgusting.
