I got a really good deal for this hotel, which is in Hollywood and pretty much within walking distance of Hollywood Blvd. The beds were ok, but not as comfortable as Holiday Inn's. Just as some other reviewers stated, I too had a bug problem in my room, so beware. The staff wasn't rude, but not too friendly either. So unless you're really trying to budget and don't mind sharing the room with a few 6-8 legged friends, avoid this place.

I recently stayed at this hotel with 75 high school students and chaperone's. We only stayed 1 night and I must say my bed must have been new because it was as hard as a rock. That was actually good. My room smelled clean, but there were no towels. I asked about the towels from house keeping and was told that they would be up shortly. We decided to go out and when we went down stairs the staff was loading bags of towels into a cab to take to the cleaners because the washers were broken.

There were problems when we went into a lot of the students rooms
because they stunk. I talked to the kids and they said that it smells in here. The smell was stale cigarette smoke. Keep in mind that these are all non smoking rooms. There were a couple of bed spreads that had 1 to 2 inch burn s on the bed spreads.

In the halls, the carpets has large white stains on them. It almost looked like the stains after the CSI guys do there job when looking for something.

We came back in the evening and and none of our room cards worked. The man behind the desk gave me new cards and was sorry , but it was still a hassle to get all the kids room key done.


Now the reason for prompting my whole complaint:

I left my diddy bag (shaving bag) on the sink in the bathroom.
I called as soon as I got up in the morning, less than 24 hour after we left and they never saw it. I called numerous times and I was told that the cleaning staff never picked it up. The only place I went was from the hotel to home.

This place is terrible and I will not go there again!

I wish we had seen this site prior to staying at this hotel. We are incurring lots of expense after staying at this hotel and bringing bed bugs back with us. We called the manager who admitted to an infestation in at least one room on the third floor, he then claimed there wasn't a problem and competitors were writing bad reviews which weren't true. In our opinion there was a big problem during our stay (which was not on the third floor) and the management simply does not care or want to hear about it which most likely speaks to this problem continuing on and other unfortunate travelers being affected negatively. We asked to get the name and number of the owner of the hotel. The manager stated he did not have time to deal with our concerns and hung up on us. Our stay will cost us several thousand in expenses, lots of time and the bites are very uncomfortable. If someone hears of a class action lawsuit please post. It seems very unfair that guests suffer a costly injury from staying at a hotel and then are left to pay for the aftermath of what appears to be poorly managed operation. Shouldn't there be some disclosure requirements?

Stayed at this place because of location and price.
Day Parking charge was very reasonable for the area (much cheaper than Holiday Inn across the road).

Rooms were very nice (better than pictured) and breakfast quite good also. Mel's diner only 2 blocks away for something more substantial. I found the rooms quite big and a/c did a good job.

To be honest, the place is a little run down and had a few issues with key-card swipes needing replacement and main hallways very hot. Other than that I don't have anything bad to say about it.

From the recent reviews there appears to be mixed experiences so maybe it's now under bad management.
Shame, cos was considering this place for another trip in Jan 2008 but maybe I'll look elsewhere.
