I got this place for a $50 Priceline bid which means about $60 a night. Normal price is about $90 a night. Hollywood is sleazy so the location is not the best although you can walk to a variety of restaurants and it's just down the road from $200 a night hotels. It's definitely a one star place but it's adequate. The shower is old fashioned and nice. The heaters don't work in any of the rooms so when you complain they will give you a small electric heater to use. The place needs a good manager - the bedside lights didn't work - one was unplugged and the other missing a bulb. There was an unused drug syringe in the room safe. When you plug in both bedside lamps you can't plug in the clock by the bed. The place is reasonably clean, the staff friendly and we didn't get charged for either parking, hi speed wireless internet or in-room safe. There is a frig in the room with king size bed. Parking is good with good night lighting. Lots of traffic noise from Sunset Blvd.

Spent two nights at the Econlodge Inn & Suites Hollywood, the entire place was great. The rooms were beautiful, service was excellent, parking was not a problem, especially considering how difficult it can be in Hollywood. Very easy access to all attractions -everything was within 20 minutes.
We stayed in December of 2005 and again in February of 2006 with two kids...couldnt ask for a nicer place at such a great price. The Front Desk clerk, Rodrigo, went out of his way to direct us in what to see and the best times to see it.
The Housekeeping staff was really great too! My wife was concerened about our youngest, 5 years of age, who has asthma. On occasion in the past we've have issues with dust and the overall sanitary condition of Hotel Rooms, but the Econolodge worked out great. We did have problem with the T.V but Rodrigo took care of the problem expeditiously; not a problem though as I have problems at my own home and nobody comes running to fix it as quickly as they did at the Econolodge.
I would recommend the Econolodge to anyone looking for an economical Hotel directly on Sunset Strip - virtually in the midde of all that is Hollywood!!!

I have stayed in many hotels in my lifetime. This is by far the absolute worst hotel in The United States of America. The bathrooms had extreme mold and caused my son problems breathing when he showered. We had to take him to the hospital. The tiolet overflowed when we got there and the heater broke. With proof of the hospital bill the Econo Lodge home office will not refund our money for the stay. Please avoid this hotel if you care for the safety of your family and your health.
