We had the great privilege of staying at the Hollywood Orchid Suites right at the end of a very long holiday. During our holiday we stayed at various hotels and resorts and backpacker accommodations - so we have seen and experienced a little bit of everything. We all agreed that this was one of the nicest places we have stayed and apart from all the plusses, also the most economic of all. Our internet booking was responded to very fast and efficient. I had to change our booking due to a change in our travel plans and it was dealt with just as efficiently. We booked a Junior Suite and when we arrived we were told that we have been upgraded to a bigger suite - at the same price! The room was an absolute delight - big room with two massive beds, TV, aircon and a big kitchen with dining area. After being on the road and eating out of restaurants for 3 weeks, it was such a pleasure to be able to cook again. The staff at the reception was extremely helpful and gave us very good advice on where to go and what to see. The hotel is also ideally situated - right behind the Kodak Teather (where the Oscars are held) and also on the Walk of Fame. Also a great shopping centre right next to it. Although many people say that this area is touristy and rundown, we did not think so at all. Well, it is touristy, but there is a great excitement in the air. We only had a day and ½ in the area, so did the Walk of Fame, Ripleys (we have a 6 year old!), took the bus to Santa Monica and booked the Celebrity House Tour - which turned out to be a really interesting tour with regards to LA and where things are happening. I would definitely stay here again!

I don't even want to write a review since it was just great place to stay, keep it secret, apparently many people already know tho. Location is great, rooms were good too. Also, staff at the reception were very helpful when in need (well I'm stranger around the area and needed some help). Right behind the Kodak Theater, it's just such a good location to have fun in Hollywood!! Only needed a fridge to keep bottled water cool, but kitchen is fully equipped, so you can cook anytime if you need to. Wi-Fi is in if you got a laptop, or you can use the desktop there. I'll defenitely stay here again when I get chance to visit.

I came to Hollywood with my mom in law for a film festival off of Beverly. We had previously booked a room at The Farmer's Daughter, but cancelled once we found this sweet bargain!

A very much affordable suite hotel within walking distance of Hollywood Blvd and shopping/attractions plus great security and free on-site parking! How can that be beat?

The room was terrific! Plenty of space with a full kitchen and dining area. We had a balcony too! We had booked one of the 2bedroom executive suites. It was very clean with comfortable beds. For once I did not wake up with a back-ache from sleeping in a strange bed.

The staff was very friendly and informative. I also got great use of the free high speed internet computer available. I was able to print out much needed directions with ease.

I will most definitely stay at The Orchid again.

The location to this hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of Hollywood. Rooms are a decent size, clean and fairly comfortable. We had a room with a kitchenette, as expected the kitchen facilities weren’t fantastic, one stove didn’t work, there weren’t a lot of cooking utensils, but we could get by to save some costs of eating out. Free internet and printing service is great. Also has secure parking.
