REasonable hotel, room was small on club floor (floor 10) for extra rate. Beds are comfortable. The airport shuttle is a bit of a gamble, comes every 15 - 18 minutes (they say) but not on a set schedule. Not an exciting area there at LAX but near the AVIS rental car return if you happen to do them, you can walk to the hotel. Would I go again? Perhaps if I were flying out early, but probably would just do the hotel where I was really staying and just get up early to get there at LAX.

This is a nice hotel with a great staff, but some of the reviews submitted here are actually for the HOLLYWOOD Renaissance, not the LAX Renaissance. Huge difference! When you're reading through the reviews, if you see anything about the Hollywood sign, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the connected mall, the Kodak Theatre, Mann's Chinese Theater... these are all in Hollywood, not at the L.A. airport. This hotel is much cheaper than in Hollywood, and not nearly as nice, but if you need to be next to the airport and you want a nice, clean, quiet, well-staffed place to stay, this is a great choice. Just don't expect any L.A. sightseeing nearby!
