We stayed here for a total of 7 days at the start & end of a Southern California / Nevada Holiday. The check in was fast & efficient. The room was huge & though located at the back overlooking the Hollywood Freeway was very quiet thanks to the double glazing.

Wi-fi access in our room was excellent. Free shuttle bus service to the nearby Metro station & Universal Studios is great, as was the discounted tickets for Universal Studios in the gift shop.

I can't say enough good things about this Hotel, We booked through a company called Purely America & found the price very reasonable. Big thanks to Richie & all the front desk staff for helping us enjoy a fantastic holiday

My mom and I stayed here. At fist we thought, oh, it's a holiday inn, it should be okay. However, it was up to date, decorated beautifully and had a balcony with a fabulous view of the studio city hills. Not to mention there is a sauna, jacuzzi, and pool. You can't hear the freeway. There are four different levels of firmness in pillows, per bed. Great touch! Had a cool feel like the Roosevelt hotel, with part of there walls being brick. For the price, I was amazed. We only paid 159.00 per night, because triple a members receive a discount. Parking is only 13 dollars per day. For anyone who think that's a lot, try staying anywhere else and not paying 3x as much. Great, friendly staff. We requested to move up higher after we were already in our room. They graciously said that's fine. This is just a great little get away that is very affordable.

We stayed here for two nights in March 2008. This hotel was a wonderful surprise. The staff are very helpful, the concierge was brilliant and helped us get to Disneyland and also a private tour of LA all for very reasonable prices. The rooms were large and comfortable, we had a balcony which was a hidden extra. I couldnt rave enough about this hotel, i would recommend to anyone.

“Above average hotel for business”

Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn

This Holiday Inn was good for the two days I was there on a two day business trip. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Areas of construction were not an issue. The catering at our seminar was provided by the Holiday Inn and was good. The beds were very nice and I had a great night sleep. It was close proximity to local area attractions. Overall I was pleased with my stay here.

“Pleasant Hotel”

Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn

I've stayed at this hotel twice and had a nice stay on both occasions.

To start with the down sides, its right next to the busy 101 freeway although the traffic noise doesn't bother me. The parking is not cheap at $13 currently, but is secure nonetheless. I also found that the on site restaurant was quite expensive considering that the hotel offers no complimentary breakfast. If you don't like what is on offer it is a fair walk to get something elsewhere. There is a shopping area including a Ralph's store about 15 mins walk form the hotel.

The hotel is very easy to get to from the freeway, it is virtually just off the Vineland Ave ramp.
Contrary to some other reviews I found the area surrounding the hotel to be quite a nice neighbourhood and would have no problem walking around day or night.

The hotel is large and in separate sections. The decor is quite old fashioned but I quite like that. The lobby is quite small and in an L shape. There are pictures on the wall from the old days. The staff are well dressed and courteous. The outside spaces & gardens are well kept. The are tennis courts but I did not use these. There are big pine trees which rise close to the buildings, you can touch them from the balcony. Maybe they are meant to block out traffic noise, not sure if they do but they look nice anyhow.

The rooms are pretty average. on both occasions I have found the rooms & bathrooms to be clean & tidy. I don't remember there being a coffee maker in the room, but everything else you would expect. I didn't have any problems with rowdy guests. When I have stayed here most guests have been middle aged upward so I guess people in this age group tend to behave themselves.

There is also a complimentary shuttle to Universal Studios which I used on both trips too.
I would consider staying here again.
