We stayed at this hotel for 1 night before a cruise. Got a great rate thru Travelocity, $60+tax. The hotel was quite convenient, close enough to the cruise port, and with free parking and a Denny's right beside. It's an older property, decor slightly dated, but very clean and well maintained. The room was huge, with 2 king-sized beds and a small fridge. Free continental breakfast was very basic, toast and doughnuts, but just enough to tide us over. Not the best neighborhood, but definitely not the worst. Would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel in October of 2003 for the Women's World Cup Soccer finals. Rates at other hotels during this time were ridiculous and I found an internet rate for this hotel for $49 CDN! It is a bit out of the way - especially if you don't have a car, but there is a lot to do (shopping, dining) in the area. The rooms were large and clean and the beds were comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like about our room was that the sink was not in the bathroom, but was installed in a long counter in the common area - not a big deal, I'm just being picky! There was a fridge in the room and breakfast was included - nothing fancy; toast, donuts, cofee and juice, but it helped. There is a Denny's next door. The staff was friendly and helpful but the best thing about the hotel was the free parking - and there's lots of it! Good hotel for the amount you're spending - if you don't mind staying outside of downtown LA, give this place a shot!
