I would never recommend the Comfort Inn LA City Center to anyone. Despite it's convenient location to Downtown Los Angeles, including the Staples Center, the hotel staff were less than competent. During a three night stay, we were awaken twice by the front-desk staff; first at 1:30 am to inquire whether my wife (whom answered the phone) had actually checked in. If this weren't inconsiderate enough, I received a second call from the front desk at 3:45 am, in which the gentleman advised me that he called in error and proceeded to hang up. At this time, as I was angered by the second inconvenience, I called back to inquire why we received yet a second call in the middle of the night. The gentleman advised me that he initially thought I was checking out later that day, but that he later realized I was leaving in two days. I was outraged by this because even had I been scheduled to check out later that morning, check out time is 11am, and there would be no reason to bother me at 3:45 am to inquire about when I would actually be checking out. Just when I figured I'd seen the last of the staff's incompetence, upon checkout, i was advised that i was being charged $4.00/day for parking. I refused to pay this, as the fee was not not made public on the Hotel.com website, nor was it displayed anywhere on the hotel's premises. To be fair, the room itself was clean and sufficient for our needs; however, the staff's incompetence overshadowed what, otherwise, would have been an enjoyable experience.
