My husband and I recently stayed at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, and we were quite impressed! We thought it was very good value for the money--our room was large, with 2 Queen beds (that's all they had available) and a full kitchen, and good sized bathroom and vanity area.

The staff were all very helpful, from beginning to end.

The continental breakfast was decent--nothing fancy (bagels/cream cheese and muffins and croissants with juice and tea/ coffee).

The location is excellent--2 minute walk (if that) to the Hollywood/Highland shopping complex, and also the hotel is on a cute little hidden street, so it feels very safe.

The only drawback with our room is that it was literally right off the lobby (room 104), and while it wasn't nearly as loud as we thought it would be with all of the lobby traffic, every time the front desk clerk used the clunky old printer, we could hear it quite loudly from our room. So, I would suggest requesting a room a bit further from the lobby!

Overall, a good choice, and we will be back again!

My friend booked us into this hotel. Looking back, we really had no reason to stay in this location as we weren't that interested in doing the Hollywood tourist thing.

When we arrived, I parked our rental car in the super-tight parking lot and a frustrated looking man asked me for my keys and told me he was the parking manager. When I refused because I didn't know if he was an employee of the hotel and I told him I would give them in at the front desk, he rolled his eyes at me. Needless to say, the next day when we came out to our car, the hubcap was dented up as if it had hit the curb. Nice.

The room was ok...not really the greatest. The outdated rooms could use some freshening up. When my friend went to toast her bagel in the morning, she found she couldn't get the toaster to work and checked underneath the tablecloth to see if it was plugged in. There were rat traps under the table. She was freaked out the rest of the day.

Let hotel is perfectly situated just a couple of minutes walk from Hollywood Blvd., and right behind the Kodak theatre. Finding the hotel was easy, and the car parking seemed ample, but the car park was fill when we left the next morning.

Check-in was completed very quickly and easily, but there are no lifts to the upper levels which with the amount luggage we had proved a bit of a strain and being a small hotel there are no bell boys to help.

The room was massive, and very clean with all of the amenities that someone would need for a short stay. The only very slight problem we had was having a room at the back it was close to the road. This being Hollywood the traffic never stopped and the windows are not double glazed.

Breakfast is a bit of a bun fight. One small table with everything laid out and about 20 people trying to get to the coffee, bread and toaster all at the same time. There is also no where to sit so we took out breakfast back to our room.

Checking out was simple and quick.

Overall, the location, the price and the rooms are all great, just find a Diner for your breakfast and don't bring too much luggage if you are upstairs!

I was a bit worried about staying here as Hollywood doesn't have such a great name but it was exactly what we wanted. Large spacious ,clean room, fantastic location, free internet, helpful desk. The decor is art deco and the bathroom somewhat dated but we had absolutely no complaints.
