We were only staying in LA for 2 nights and wanted somewhere not too expensive as we planned to be sight-seeing most of the time and just wanted somewhere to get our heads down. I was very aprehensive at what we were going to find as the hotel seemed very reasonably priced for the location. On arrival all our worries disappeared. The Celebrity used to be "art decor" style apartments and have been renovated into a small hotel. OK so there is no pool and there is no lift (its only 2 floors anyway) but it is clean, comfortable, very friendly and only a 2minute stroll to the action yet in a quiet cul-de-sac location. The hotel staff were VERY helpful and there is FREE internet access. The continental breakfast is basic but is a good start to the day. If you a not looking to be pampered with 5* luxury then I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Had an awesome stay at this hotel. This hotel is basic but very comfortable - very good for the price you are paying. The one thing we loved was the location!! A 5 minute walk to the Hollywood Stars, Chinese Theatre and Kodak Theatre (go in the back entrance to the Kodak Theatre for a quick way to Hollywood Blvd!!) Breakfast was very basic but did the job. Internet was available for free aswell which was very handy to check up on emails and bookings!!
If your looking for the real Hollywood experience, and just looking for a comfortable plce to stay in the evening, then this hotel is great and well worth what you pay (which isnt much!!).

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, and we were quite impressed! We thought it was very good value for the money--our room was large, with 2 Queen beds (that's all they had available) and a full kitchen, and good sized bathroom and vanity area.

The staff were all very helpful, from beginning to end.

The continental breakfast was decent--nothing fancy (bagels/cream cheese and muffins and croissants with juice and tea/ coffee).

The location is excellent--2 minute walk (if that) to the Hollywood/Highland shopping complex, and also the hotel is on a cute little hidden street, so it feels very safe.

The only drawback with our room is that it was literally right off the lobby (room 104), and while it wasn't nearly as loud as we thought it would be with all of the lobby traffic, every time the front desk clerk used the clunky old printer, we could hear it quite loudly from our room. So, I would suggest requesting a room a bit further from the lobby!

Overall, a good choice, and we will be back again!

My friend booked us into this hotel. Looking back, we really had no reason to stay in this location as we weren't that interested in doing the Hollywood tourist thing.

When we arrived, I parked our rental car in the super-tight parking lot and a frustrated looking man asked me for my keys and told me he was the parking manager. When I refused because I didn't know if he was an employee of the hotel and I told him I would give them in at the front desk, he rolled his eyes at me. Needless to say, the next day when we came out to our car, the hubcap was dented up as if it had hit the curb. Nice.

The room was ok...not really the greatest. The outdated rooms could use some freshening up. When my friend went to toast her bagel in the morning, she found she couldn't get the toaster to work and checked underneath the tablecloth to see if it was plugged in. There were rat traps under the table. She was freaked out the rest of the day.
