Hotel staff was rude, unhelpful and generally disrespectful. Despite the desk clerk speaking to the general manager via the phone while I stood there, the general manager refused to speak to me, and told the desk clerk to inform me he was not available. They sent me to a room that was occupied by another guest, and then, despite having a confirmed non-smoking reservation, their only resolution was to offer me a smoking room. I offered to wait for the room to be cleaned out or go to another Candlewood Suites, only to be told again that the only resolution was to take a smoking room. The desk clerk could offer no explanation as to why someone was in the room. According to him, there was no record of anyone in their systems having that room and he had no idea who it was. Needless to say, I left and did not stay at the hotel. So perhaps their clean non-smoking rooms are fabulous; however, the absolute appalling behavior of their staff negates any positives the hotel may offer.
