I just visited the Westport Inn for a three-night stay this February, and could not have been more pleased!
Although I was on business, I couldn't help but notice how great the location would be for a leisure visit as well. The room I had was spacious and very clean. It made me comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel amenities were very nice. Although I didn't use it, the pool looked very inviting. I was also very impressed with the evening wine reception. It was a nice way to relax after work, and meet some of the friendly people working there.
Overall, it was a great experience. I am looking forward to my next visit to Westport, and to my new home away from home...

Wow! What a great Home away from Home! I recently stayed at the Westport Inn with my husband and had a wonderful time! The oversized room with High Speed Internet Access was great for keeping up with work while I was away. Additionally, the indoor pool and work out room were a great amenity. However, the best part of my stay was the incredibly friendly staff. They went above and beyond in assisting us with dinner reservations, directions and great things to do in the area.

I would highly recommend the Westport Inn for couples or families- it is a great Home in the Country!

We tried to conduct a videotaped deposition at the Westport Inn. The room was very small and hot. The air conditioner was a wall unit that was too loud, so we lived with the heat. For almost three hours, we had to endure a loud piano being played in the central atrium. It could be heard all over the hotel. If anyone was trying to read or get a child to sleep, they were out of luck. Our complaints were ignored. The food (which the hotel orders out) was very mediocre. The restroom facilities were ridiculous for any kind of a business meeting. We had to go down a flight of stairs, around the other end of the pool into the fitness center. There was one toilet in the ladies room and it was generally full of wet children from the swimming pool being changed by their mothers. I would NEVER return to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed in a first floor room overlooking the excellent indoor pool whilst visiting our son who is at university in the area.
Facilities were excellent but I agree with another reviewer about the poor hairdryer! The room was large and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was better than most motels and served in pleasant surroundings. We liked the fact that the oranges were freshly squeezed for us. It is only a short distance to the Westport shops and beach and easily accessible to the University in Fairfield.In October 03 our son's house burnt down and he lived at the Westport for seven weeks as he lost everything. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful to him for which we thank them. We will be returning this year.
