Newer hotel on the Dover AFB Billeting list. Rooms are very clean and shower was clean- no mildew smell. Underground parking. You do get the St Jones river odor early in the AM and PM. I was pleased with my accomodations, staff was very nice. Laundry cost a bit much- 1.50 per load. Close to a few retaurants and grocery.

My husband and I stayed one night here.Our room was very clean and suitable for our needs. Our bed was very comfortable with newer a bed spread. The staff were friendly and helpful.

They went out of there way to locate a specific room that my son had stayed in for 3 months. All though they were unable to locate this information, they really tried hard. It meant alot to us.

Our son basically lived there, the year before before getting an apartment in Dover. He was in the Airforce and has since passed on.
I guess, if I had to say anything negative, it would be that the breakfast could have been better as far as their choices.

Anyway, we were very happy with everything and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Don't let the other reviews prevent you from staying here. Its a very nice, clean, friendly place to stay for the $$

My family and I stayed at the hotel for our birthday weekend. The place was clean but just a basic hotel, no frills at all. So for the money they charge for their rooms, find another hotel. Plus, the creek behind the hotel literally STINKS. It seems that they should be able to do something to get rid of the smell. The hotel boasts of Internet service, but the lone computer in the lobby is so slow that it is not even worth the bother.

My family and I stayed at the Microtel in Dover Deleware in the beginning of October and I just want everyone to know how disgustingly filthy it is (not to mention the room is the size of a box). When we first arrived the placed looked like it wasn't even cleaned at all. There was hair in the bathtub, FECES, yes FECES on the toilet, and garbage on the floor such as an old soda bottle and a cigarette butt. I have never been to such a dump in my whole life. We complained and all they would do for us besides making a second failed attempt at cleaning the room (the feces was still on the toilet after we complained) they told us they could only give us 15 percent off the bill. This place is a nightmare. Please do not waste your time and money.
