We stayed in the 1022 Room for one night last weekend. The only things that were not perfect were that the directions say that the final turn is the first left and Joe's mom accidentally gave us the wrong single key. Technically the "first left" puts you going the wrong way into their one way parking lot and we arrived while the owners were running an errand and we were given a key to the room, but not the set with a key to the outside door. We knew that we'd be back at a decent hour, so we figured we would check on general building access then. Peter give us the correct keys when we returned - and apologized too much. NOT a big deal.
Everything else was perfect - the Inn, the room, the bed, the spa tub, the secret touches when you return at night (I will not reveal their secrets), and the delicious breakfast. The bathroom looked like it was added or remodeled in the 1950s or 1960s, but it was nice, functional, and I loved the (probably new) tub/shower.
They advertise that they are a short walk to the beach, which is true. They are also a short walk to Jackie Robinson Park, home of the Daytona Cubs, and Beach Street's restaurants, antique stores, and rare book store.
This was a great get-away and we hope to return.
