Great hotel, across the street from the beach, close to cruise port. Marriott took this over from Doubletree and really spruced it up. Decor is warm and inviting, beds were pillow-toped and sooo comfortable. Pool area is secluded from street and has wonderful covered cabanas, and a pool bar (prices were a little high). Free internet near the lobby, big flat screened TVs in the rooms. We didn't use the restaurant, but it looked very nice, though once again prices were a little high. There were lots of small restaurants along the beach, easy to walk to. Would stay here again when in Ft Lauderdale.

This hotel had a good location as it was across from a large stretch of public beach and was within walking distance of beachfront dining. The rooms were very nice, clean and newly renovated. Our King Suite had two 32" LCD televisions, which was a nice touch. The rooms were tastefully decorated and were quite comfortable. The food here was above average for a hotel, and had better taste and presentation than the other places we dined at along the beach. Do order the french toast for breakfast, you will not be disappointed. The only real downside of this property was the lack of a heated pool and hottub.

We just got back from staying at this hotel for 8 days, and we definately had some problems. First of all, our room was not ready when we arrived so we were given a handicap room for a night and had to move the next day. They said they didn't have any other room available. Very inconvenient! The next day we were given a beautiful room on the 12 floor in the corner with floor to celing windows on 2 sides. But the shower leaked so there was 1/8" of water on the bathroom floor after every shower. We didn't tell the management because we didn't want to move again. The cleaning staff must have seen all the wet towels on the floor but ignored them. The elevators were slow and didn't work at times. But the worse part of the hotel is that they are valet parking only. They charged $25 to park overnight and did not give us any options. Afterword I found out I could have parked next door for $5.00 per night. When I asked the front desk about it they stated that "it wasn't a secure lot" . They never gave us this option. I asked if they could reduce the charge since they did not give us this option, but they refused. I am also irriated that Travelocity did not mention this when I booked the trip. I'll never use them again!

Stayed here for 1 day post cruise. The location is very convenient for flying out of Ft Lauderdale airport and is a short walk to all the bars and restaurants along the beach. Stayed in room 605B which faces the terrace and beach. I was worried about the noise on a Friday night, but it was minimal.

The gym is pretty small with no weight training machines, only dumbells. They have a business center with free internet access, which is nice for confirming flights.
