If I could give this place no stars I would. We were not told upon booking that the parking lot was being resurfaced while we were there and the elevator, stairwell and trash chute was out of order because of it. Naturally this happened to be on OUR end of the condo. The construction crew started early each morning (forget about sleeping) and there was dust and debris everywhere. (chunks of concrete and nails everywhere) We had to park on the total opposite end of the complex and the parking was limited. There were people with very young children who let them run screaming up and down the halls. The condo itself left a lot to be desired. The carpet was stained, the ceiling fan looked like it was in danger of coming out of the wall on our screened in porch. The paint was chipped and there was mold and mildew all over the bathrooms. It took us three days to get a parking pass. Every night we watched a group of rowdy teenagers from a house across the road cross the street and party on the beach til all hours of the night and generally run amok. Maybe it was supposed to be a private beach but we saw these same teenagers on the property using the facilitlies. The water was nasty and murky with a rank smell. Carlos Pointe is grossly overpriced. Do yourself a favor and stay in the middle of the island. The beaches and prices are nicer. They book up fast, though, which is why we forced to the crappy end of the island.

This condo building has much to be desired. It was built in the 80's and is showing it's age. It is on the far south end of the beach where there is nothing going on-(boring!) It took us 4 days to get a parking pass because there was no one in the office. There is no work out facility or anything else for kids or families to do here other than the beach and pool. The barbecue area is shared with other tenants (a small area off of the parking lot where you have to wait your turn to grill your food). The only upside to the actual condo that we stayed in was that there were two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Unfortunately, the bathrooms and bedrooms are very small and cramped, and when this place was built, it was not wired for cable in the second bedroom (no TV). Whatever you do, DO NOT stay in condo #513. The shower curtains were moldy and the area rugs were old and filthy. The washer/dryer were tiny and inefficient . The "lanai" furniture was plastic and the chairs had cushions that were "bottomed out" so that you couldn't sit on them. The TVs were from very old and the remote was held together with tape. Obviously, the owners of this condo haven't put a dime into it in ages.
