“Great stay at The Lighthouse Court”

Lighthouse Court

Located within walking distance of all the main Key West attractions, this B & B has clean, comfortable rooms. We stayed for 3 nights the first week of January. Parking is a bit of a challange, as it is in most of the old town area.
The staff were all very helpful, as first time Key West visitors they gave us some welcomed recommendations on things to see and do.
This place also has a heated pool, a poolside bar ( best Pina Colada I ever had) and a good but limited lunch menu.
Breakfast is served poolside each morning which is pretty basic but gave us a great start to the day.
Nice place, will stay here again.

“Not the best...”

This hotel has a great location, no doubt. It's connected to the lighthouse which is a good attraction and is across the road from the Hemmingway House which means it's easy to get too but also that troops of tourists arrive outside your room, early and stay all day!

As for the hotel. It's clearly overpriced and the rooms are very small. Queens are really doubles. You can tell that at one point in time this was a great place but reinvestment in the asset has been poor. Glass tiles in the bathrooms are loose and the grout work needs redone. The external property is kept well and the grounds people do a great job.

I think this would be a great hotel if rooms were $120 but not at $250+. Saying that it is expensive to stay in Key West in general and there are clearly places much worse. So if Michael Porter came for a visit he would say they had sussed the power of competition and priced correctly!

In summary, I would stay somewhere else next time.

“Very nice pool and lounge area but overpriced”

Stayed over Christmas at the Lighthouse court. We loved the pool and lounge are (although the barkeeper at the pool bar could use some mixing lessons.) The location one block from Duval Street is also very convenient to reach basically every place of interest.
The rooms are small but ok and clean. Most of them are different so it's worth checking out which one you like best.
Overall it's a very nice place but definitely overpriced for the room size and service quality you get.

“Great Place to Stay!”

My boyfriend and I got a great deal on a room at the Lighthouse Court the week before Christmas. The property is really cute, the staff is very friendly and you can't beat the location.

Couple of hints - the superior queen rooms all seem to face the street and during busy seasons I am sure could be a bit noisy. These rooms also seem to get a lot of light from the street lights so the room was never completely dark. I would upgrade to the King rooms since those all seem to face the pool.

The Lighthouse Court is right across the street from the Hemingway House and one block off Duval. It's about 8-10 blocks from Mallory Square (a must for sunsets) and about 4 blocks from the Southern Most Point marker. Excellent location for getting around!

According to a travel book I read this property use to be the place to stay for gay men, but it is not like that any more. It is geared to couples and all rooms (I think) are double capacity only. There are also single, budget room options.

Hint for Key West - rent bikes! Parking is limited so once you park your car (leagally) leave it and get around on bikes. There are dozens of places to rent bikes and there are bike racks everywhere you go to secure your bike.

“Very nice place close to everything”

We stayed at the Lighthouse Court for only one night and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a really nice room ( an upgrade from the standard room we booked) on the first floor. The room was just the right size and very clean, especially liked the decor. Rooms are grouped around the pool with plenty of sunchairs and space to hang out, also a pool bar. The pool is lit up at night which creates a very nice atmosphere.

The location of the hotel is just perfect- right across Hemingway House, 5 blocks from the southernmost point of the USA in one direction and 5 blocks from sunset and Sloppy Joe's in the other direction.

Breakfast is served next to the pool and the selection was just right- some fruit, bagels, danish, yoghurt, and it was all good and fresh.

When going to Key West again, we would check this hotel first for availability and stay again if we can.
