We arrived at Poinciana Place to discover a secluded cottage nestled among a lush garden of tropical foliage. Having stayed in Key West several times before, we were ecstatic when we saw the private location situated behind a locked gate. For those of you who have not been to Key West, it is a very dense island and the privacy and space at Poinciana Place are rareties.

The building houses two apartments - one downstairs and one upstairs. Each has their own private entrance, and you really can not hear your neighbors. We stayed in the upstairs apartment - it was well appointed and had everything we needed - especially that hot tub and hammock! The king sized bed was very comfortable and their was plenty of storage space.

Poinciana Place is located on a very private lane, so you do not hear cars or mopeds going by all the time. Add all of the above to a very friendly and accomodating landlord and Poinciana Place gets two thumbs up!!!

Convient to most everything you can imagine available in Key West... this condo has is all ! Home away from home , hot tub , quite patio , nature setting , and close to Duval St. for shopping , eats, and night life! Fellow visitors shared they would have stayed for a week if they knew how nice it was.. Glad we did!

My family stayed in the upstair portion (Treetop?) at the Poinciana Place residence last May. The location was great, one block off of Duval. We rented bikes so we could just leave our vehicle parked and everything was close enough to either bike or walk to. The house was very cute, with the traditional "conch" architecture and property was kept up well. Hanging out in the porch hammock or in the hot tub (amazing how they got that thing up to the 2nd floor) was a great way to end a day in Key West. This property is a better value than almost any hotel you can mind and also lets you feel temporarily like you're a Key West resident, not just a visitor. I can't wait to go back to Key West and if I do, I'll definitely stay back at Poinciana Place!

I found Poinciana Place on the internet, and my husband and I have stayed there four times...the first time we saw it. we fell in love...we have always stayed in the upstairs unit and we have always been pleased with the level of cleanliness and since it is supposed to be No Smoking, we have never had a problem as far as that is concerned.
I think the ants are a problem everywhere in the Keys. We refer to the cottage as 'our cottage' I am sure we are not the only ones, and the owner, Bruce is a lovely man and very amenable to requests... I would not hestitate to recommend the plave to anyone.
