Having been in the hospitality Industry with Marriott for over 12 years, the Duval Inn and its Management and Staff really know how to make you happy. VERY VERY clean rooms(we stayed in the Lauren Room - very large spacious room, glass enclosed shower, nice larger sized fridge, and COLD A/C, lots of windows, located in the back of the house. The sheets, over sized pillows, and comforter with Duvet were high class, the bed was amazing! The daily breakfast from 8am to 11am was very nice continental with all varieties of fresh bagels and breads and different types of cream cheeses and jellies, danish, doughnuts, banana's, pineapple and fruits, coffee's and juices..and the Guava danishes were excellent. What was nice was if you happen to have tied one on the night before and made it there a little after 11am, the very accomodating JP and Frankie would never even blink to make sure you had something, even if they had already cleaned up. Hospitality Happy Hour was each evening from around 5 to 6pm, with a variety of beers, wines and JP's awesome Margarita's with sliced fruit and Sangria(which I believe should had the fruit...maybe next time).
JP and Frankie went out of there way to be sure to say hello, and honestly ask how was everything, cause they really wanted to know..anything is at your fingertips..bikes, dinner reservations, things to do(Frankie's husband is one of the Captains for the fishing charters).
The location couldn't be better, walking to everything, yet as other reviews, it is very quiet and peaceful, tropical..a nice courtyard to eat your breakfast, pool for relaxing and cooling off or sleeping under a palm tree.
THANKS JP, FRANKIE AND MOOKIE!!! See you soon I hope!
