Just back from two nights at HIX at Disney. Hotel was clean (as advertised), but rooms were a little worn. Rooms are spacious, with microwave and mini fridge. Old style tv's. Would a flat screen kill ya? Painter must' have been drunk. Plastic chairs on balcony looked like they'd been picked from the dump. Breakfast was good - nice variety of foods and the staff kept it clean and stocked. Really close to the parks, with a variety of restaurants and a supermarket and liquor store right nearby. Pool and hottub were fine. Only real complaint is that when we made the booking we asked for adjoining rooms but they couldn't accommodate. For the price, it's a pretty good deal.

We travel to the Orlando area once or twice a year and have stayed in various hotels on and off Disney property. (See my other reviews.) I can honestly say that this is the best value I have ever encountered in this area.:

Location, location! - The hotel is located off SR 535, which makes it easily accessible to I-4 or alt routes to Disney. It is within walking distance of numerous restaurants. Downtown Disney is a few minutes of non-interstate driving as well. A fabulous outlet mall is also less than a mile away.

Comfort!- The large rooms have obviously been recently redecorated. The beds are large and comfortable, with quality linens and comfortable pillows. All rooms have microwaves, a fridge, and a coffee maker. Baths are stocked with plenty of fluffy towels and essentials.

Breakfast- Very satisfactory with a variety of hot and cold items: scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, cereals, muffins, waffles, bagels, coffee and juices. The dining area was clean, and overlooked the pool area.

Pool- Small but immaculate. Cool water slide and waterfall. Plenty of deck chairs.

Service- Exceptional! The front deck "came through" for us twice. Once they had to work with the HI reservations because one person in our party had mistakenly booked their room at the wrong hotel. The second time they located directions to a restaurant. Both times we were helped with smiles, though it was obvious it was a busy time for the hotel.

I paid $89 per night for this hotel, and am almost incredulous at what I got for the money. I can't say enough good things about the Holiday Inn Express LBV!!!!!

We booked this hotel due to it's location, price, and the reviews. Overall, this hotel wasn't a disappointment but we weren't very impressed either. The lobby, room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable-I especially loved the soft sheets and comforter & that the bedspread was a blue thin blanket that could be easily washed. I was concerned about dust mites as I am allergic to them and unfortunately there must have been a population in the heavy curtains or carpet because my nose closed up fast & my throat hurt. Besides that, the only other negative regarding the room was that our phone did not ring/was broken & we never got our wake up call. The pool was small but nice with a waterslide. There's also a wooden playhouse with sand for the kids nearby. Big plus: the hotel is located close to many restaurants and a hop, skip and jump away from Disney. Big negative: the heavily advertised hot breakfast wasn't so hot. We thought we'd get bacon or sausage. But besides the scrambled eggs, the only hot protein was very little pieces of sausage in a white country gravy. The rest of the buffet was pretty good though--pasties, breads, cereals, milk, yogurt, fruits, biscuits, oj, apple juice and coffee. And they kept it neat and stocked despite the crowded breakfast room. However, I'd stayed at a similar hotel (that advertised a hot breakfast) last year, and their buffet delivered with great hot food. This buffet did not. Overall, it was a nicely priced hotel with some good amenities, but we won' t be staying there nor recommending it to friends.

My family and I just came back from spending 2 nights at this hotel. We decided to stay at this hotel due to all the good reviews we read on this website. We were not dissapointed and the hotel was just what we needed.

To start out with, the hotel was clean, clean, clean...including the bedrooms and the premises. With a 15 month old daughter I am definately picky about where we stay and I can say I will stay in this hotel again when we return to Oralndo. Our bedroom and bathroom were spotless every day and we felt very comfortable. The pillows were awesome and I wanted to bring one home with me.

The complimentary breakfast was great and it saved us some money both days we were there. The location of the hotel is also amazing, with Disney World and any restaurant you can think of close by.

The hotel staff was very friendly, making our check in and out VERY easy.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in a budget and wants to stay close to Disney World. We paid $89 a night for a 2 Queen bed room and you can't beat that.

Make yourself a favor and stay at this hotel :)
