Just your basic no frills hotel, but it was clean and had parking which is scarce in St. Augustine. It is located within walking distance to the City Gates, Ripley's, Castillo de San Marcos, Lightner Museum, and Flagler College. So if your like me and like to park your car and not get back in it till your ready to leave, this is a great location!

I did check the reviews before booking our room at the Spanish Quarter. I was a little concerned but the price was right and the location is excellent! This was our 6th trip to St. Augustine and each and every previous time we stay at St. George's Inn on St. George's St. It is an absolute fabolus establishment but can run a little high....well, we should have just bit the bullett and gone with our usual. The Best Western was indeed in a good location and the outside was well kept BUT once inside...that's a different story. I am reasonable and didn't expect the luxury of a Hilton but I did expect a clean room, which it was not. The beds were hard, as stated in previous reviews. The rooms were really an average size hotel room but on the other hand you have the bathroom. It was insanely small! I honestly don't think I have ever seen a smaller one in any other hotel. These were all cosmetic compared to the cleaniness of the room. It felt damp and had a small moldy smell. The room itself was not cleaned well and there was even a used band-aid lying beside my bed. The staff was very nice and we didn't encounter any type of problems on our stay. We even checked out early with no questions asked. We booked 3 nights here and after night 1, we cancelled and went to St. George's Inn. I hope this is helpful to someone out there...depending on your standards you may or may not be comfortable staying here??

If you're going to St. Augustine, FL, This is the hotel to go to! Pros: Closest to everything, Really Great Staff, Clean Room, pool & jaccuzi. Next to Seafood Resturant, Ripley's Museum, Castillo de San Marco, Visitor's Center, St. George's Stree/Historical District. Park you car and don't look at it again until you go home. Can have adult beverages and no need to drive! Beautiful Clean area, safe for quiet walks at night. Lovely!
Cons: Small room/bathroom, don't bother with the breakfast, get your own/ bring fruit and muffins!
For me it's worth it to go back again and again!

Nice hotel for the money - great location (about 3 mins walk to St George's Street). Rooms are not huge, but we were hardly ever there. The bathroom was a little on the tiny side, but again, how big does it need to be?

Overall, positive experience - very friendly staff as well, very helpful
