This hotel had a convenient location and the best price I found in the Sarasota area. The room was clean and well-equipped with a nice-sized fridge and microwave, iron, hair dryer, in-room safe and DSL hook-up. The breakfast featured, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit and bagels, and several nights a complimentary buffet was set up as well. The pool was well-maintained and the fitness room had everything you could ask for. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was about 10 miles to downtown, and maybe 20 to the airport, so not really walking distance to anything, but not a bad drive. I was very happy with my stay there, especially since my friends were paying five times as much AND not getting breakfast!

Our family of 5 stayed here for a couple days during the spring break. Nice and clean hotel. The room was comfortable and big enough for the roll-away bed we requested. Pool a little small and a bit on the cool side, but the kids enjoyed it. Hot tub was HOT! Towels provided poolside. Adequate breakfast including waffles. Dining room a bit small for the amount of people, but there were tables outside to use. Free internet computer in lobby never busy. Adequate parking. Close to I-75.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days this January. We may have just lucked out but we didn't have any problem with "mildew" odor, the room was spacious and clean, and pleasantly decorated. Ample parking, with some shaded areas... nice if you don't want your car to cook! Staff was friendly and helpful. They had just instituted a new hot breakfast buffet, which was considerably better than the usual "free breakfast" at various chain hotels. There is a public access computer in the lobby, along with wifi, but for some perplexing reason, no wifi in the rooms. Everything was just great until I went to check out and found an extra $100 tacked onto my bill for "pet charges." The night clerk had told me that there was a $25 charge per STAY. The day clerk said it was $25 per pet per day. We did finally come to some agreement, but it left me with a bad feeling about the hotel. It would be better if all hotels were much plainer about their pet charges (if they have one).... I think they ought to have a surcharge for teenagers, lol! Anyway, I would recommend this hotel, though you are in for a little drive if you plan to go to the beach. It's clean and new and pleasant. I'm not sure if I'll stay there again.... seems like there ought to be something more interesting than a box by the edge of the interstate in sunny FLA.
