I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Downtown Chicago for trade shows and this hotel was definitely the nicest I have found in my price range. I was able to get a good rate using my AAA discount and was very satisfied with the value. The location is awesome and you are within walking distance of many good restaurants and shopping. Worth mentioning: The Ohio House is good for a quick, fresh cooked breakfast and Portillo's is awesome for lunch. Both are right across the street along with a McDonalds and the Rain Forest cafe which I didn't try. The hotel bar was good for a few drinks and there are a couple of pubs in the area as well. The room was very clean and mine (1 king bed) was very spacious for a hotel in Chicago (my coworkers with 2 queens wasn't as big, but a decent size). The free wireless internet was a plus and the TV. had a lot of channel options. The bathroom was clean and well stocked and my only complaint would be that the temperature of the water varied somewhat throughout the shower. Another downfall is the speed of the elevator, which is ridiculously slow. It is about a $10 cab ride to McCormick if shuttles are not running and if you have a car they offer free parking which is a tremendous value in Chicago. I would definitely stay here again if I went to another show in Chicago. The price was good, the hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly.
