I booked this room through the local CVB website because I had business in Champaign the next day and all the rooms there were booked. I almost always stay at Holiday Inn Express. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. There was some peeling wallpaper, but other than that - it was nice. The heavy drapes didn't close which I thought was a little weird.

There was some kind of children's thing going on this weekend, because it was extrememly loud from about 8 until 10:30, when I fell asleep watching tv. I then woke up at 2 a.m. to the permeating odor of people smoking pot in the next room. I almost called the front desk, but really, what could they have done about it? Totally not their fault.

The front desk staff was very nice and accomodating. I would stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night May 8th 2007. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The beds are on the firm side which I really liked. The breakfast is an extended breakfast that includes bisquits and gravy. The only thing we did not like was the location.
There is only one restaurant in the area (Big Boys?) and we ended up driving for over a half hour trying to find a decent place to eat. It is a nice hotel but not in a convenient location. We were there for a funeral so we were not able to use the pool or other amenities therefore I have no comment on them. I would stay at this hotel again if I was driving through Danville and needed a place to sleep for the night.

We looked at two hotels before choosing this one. The executive king room was wonderful for our two-day stay. Very clean with pleasant furnishings. Nice staff.

Granted, this is a fairly new property, but it was bright, fresh and clean. We'll se how it fairs over the next few years--hopefully it won't look like a lot of Holiday Inns.

The breakfast was good and the reception area is very appealing.

The guest rooms are spacious and clean, and furnishings are in excellent condition.

The only thing that was a little bit of a dissapointment was (as of March 2006) the had no wireless internet, however the front desk loaned me an ethernet cable. They told me they will have wireless soon.
