We stayed at the Best Western Des Plaines after a flight from England. We found the staff friendly and welcoming, rooms large, clean and comfortable. The hotel seemed well cared for, and the complimentary continental breakfast was fine. The pool is not large, but was very clean. Location was very convenient for O'Hare and there are a couple of shopping malls within five minutes drive with a good choice of restaurants. The room rate was extremely good value compared to most other places we have stayed around the airport. Highly recommended!

My family and I stayed at the Best Western in Des Plaines, Illinois
for three nights. While visiting relatives in the area.
Relatives had advised us that this was a fairly new, no frills hotel.
It suited our needs very well. The price was around $70.00.
Which is pretty good compared to everything else near Ohara airport.
Rooms are clean and spacious. To our surprise the double room was
bigger than in most hotels we have stayed at.
Free continental breakfast items fresh and nicely displayed.
Indoor heated pool was nice and super clean.
Staff was very friendly and immediatley looked after any requests.

We booked a room online with Best Western because it had a great rate and more importantly it was touted online and in their yellow page ad as "new", so we thought we couldn't go wrong. If this hotel is new, then I am 20, not 45. There is no way that this building is less than five years old. Peeling paint, tired linens, worn carpet, water stains in the pool area, awful odors in the halls, elevator, our room, cigarette smoke odors everywhere. The best word to describe this hotel is "dingy" at best. We were booked for two nights and stayed one, we couldn't check out fast enough. We can safely say it was the worst place we have ever stayed and won't stay in Best Western again. To advertise this place as a "new" hotel is false advertising.

A group from my company stayed here several nights while attending an event at the Rosemont Exhibition Center. The rate at the Des Plaines Inn is less than half the rate of the hotels near the exhibition center. The exterior is plain, but the rooms were immaculately clean and newly carpeted and furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful. The motel is on a commercial street several miles from the exhibition center, which I like, as I am always running to the grocery, carryout, or drug store. The free breakfast was not fancy, but adequate. There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. The Basilico Restaurant is a ways away, but worth the drive.
