The hotel itself is fine, with a friendly staff. The only complaint we have is that the third floor is the non-smoking floor. The halls were very hot, it was difficult to navigate with mobility problems (there is an elevator, but it's a sharp turn), and smoke smell tended to find its way upwards.

When we stayed there, gas was .20-.40 higher at all the stations in town than it was in Alton or Springfield. There's a selection of fast-food in the area, but not much else.
