We had a conference here in July 2007, so stayed here as well, since it is kinda far from a large selection of other hotels.
They have a shuttle from O'hare, appropriately enough. The hotel looks to be about 30 years old, but has been completely redone in a very post modern style. The lobby is a full-height-job with rooms all around the atrium and those showy glass elevators. Good grade on the decor. The lobby staff were friendly and knowledgable.
The room was pretty standard issue with urban decor and slightly upgraded desk and other chair. The bed was comfy and clean.
The eating options in the hotel are EXPENSIVE. They have a sports bar, lobby coffee bar and a white table cloth place in the atrium. We ate at the bar and the coffee shop and felt pretty ripped off for the food, eventhough the food was good. The room service was good.
The conference facilities were standard, with rather mediocre boxed lunches.
It is close to the Blue line train, so we went into downtown, eventhough it took an hour on the train.
Internet was the usual ripoff t-mobile $10 a day.
I would stay her again only if I had too. I might look around at the other (presumably pricey) chain hotels in the neighborhood, if I was coming back to O'hare area.
