We have always stayed at this particular place ever since we started coming to Lexington 4 years ago, probably a total of appox. 12 nights a year on average. This visit was the only time we really had a problem. I requested a smoking room when I contacted the hotel. When we arrived and checked in we were given a non smoking room although we didn't know it til after my husband left and went to get takeout and within 10 seconds the manager banged on the door and asked if we were smoking and I said that my husband just put a cig out before he left . Well she tells us the room is non smoking and we will have to move to a smoking room. So I had to pack everything back up(alot of stuff too) with 3 dogs and she moves us to a room with a broken sofa bed. It was hanging out of the couch and couldn't be pushed back in. We like the idea of being able to use the couch when we get a suite. Anyhow, the mamager left by then and my husband told the desk clerk about the couch and she says "Yea, it's been like that" And they were still renting it! Finally, we got another room that at least had everything working, however there was a water leak at one time in the bathroom and they never repaired it thoroughly because the wall had an ugly large stain on it that was painted over and now is showing through. Also the couch and chairs are getting shabby. The mattress on one bed was slightly off center and when I pulled back the covers the box spring was showing and it looked like(I kid you not) someone vomited on it! I was disgusted. It seems like since new management took over that's when things took a turn for the worse. We were never given an apology from the manager as we checked out. And of course she never aked us how our stay was.
We will never stay there again!
