“Average hotel”

Hyatt Regency Lexington

3 of 5 stars
Conway, AR

Although Hyatt is a brand known for high standards, this hotel is dated and hasn't been brought up to the latest standards. The lobby is attractive and the bar is quite lively, especially on game nights.

When entering the room, it was slightly smaller than your average room. The bed was quite comfortable, but the linens were dated. Bathroom amenities were standard for Hyatt, but nothing to write home about.

I understand that this hotel is planning to renovate in the near future(updated rooms, updated linens, flat panel TVs). After that renovation, I expect that the hotel will better meet what I expect from the Hyatt brand.

Overall, this hotel is average if you get a good rate. If you're here on business and get a decent rate, stay here. If not, try the Radisson across the road which seems to have nicer rooms/amenities.

We wish to stress that the hotel has location as its main asset. Upon arrival, 90 minutes after check in time, we had to wait for a clean room. Upon inspection the room was not as clean as I would have liked. I found an earring in the middle of the floor, therefore the carpet was not clean.. The remote did not work. A call was made to the front desk, but a replacement remote was never brought in. Room service would not answer twenty mintues before closing. The next morning we went to the restaurant and was seated for what seemed to be eternity. I finally helped myself to the buffet before being greated by a waitress. They were not busy and we were not the only ones waiting. I will give the hotel another chance, because of its location. I hope these comments will help you to improve the conditions of the hotel. For I am proud of Kentucky and the Hyatt sits on the home court of the Kentucky Wildcats, for all to experience.

After reading the reviews on this hotel that Priceline booked for us I wanted to cancell, but my husband said how bad could a Hyatt actually be, so we went only to find out that all of the reviews were true. It smells of must and dirt. We would not dare walk on the floors with our socks or flip flops, ceilings were stained, the dresser was broke, the windows were hazy, there was mold in the bathroom. I could go on and on... Now for the pros --- location, room service and a nice lobby area. So please consider the Marriott @ Griffin Gate Resort before booking here!

Our stay at the Hyatt was not a good experience and definately not what I expect from a chain hotel who prides itself on being one of the best. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the rest of the hotel was a mess. Upon entering our room we quickly noticed the carpet was heavily stained and worn, the furniture had visible surface damage and the "comfortable" chair has lost its cushion and springs a long time ago basically leaving just the fabric and frame to sit on. The room did not have a fresh clean appearance. The air conditioning unit was located behind the head board of the bed and was so loud that it vibrated the lights fixtures on the wall next to the bed. Needless to say it made it difficult to sleep. The room was warm when we entered so I set the A/C to 68 but the room never cooled below 75. Upon checking out the next morning I overhead another guest complaining about the lack of AC. I was over charged for the room and when I contacted Hyatt but after one week I have not heard anything back from their "customer service" department. Hyatt should be embarrassed!

I'm not sure what the naysayers are talking about here. We stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful hotel and had nothing bad to say at all. The room was very nice and the bed was top notch. Everyone was very friendly. The free parking across the street is unheard of. Their is a nice lobby bar. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was very nice, so I can't attest to the food otherwise. The location is great. I believe this is a can't miss place.
