My family and I needed a place to stay when we arrived at BWI after midnight, before going into DC for our vacation.

This hotel has a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. The rooms were clean and the staff was wonderfully accommodating. One of our teenagers was not feeling well and they allowed us to have a late check out so she could recuperate a bit before taking mass transit into DC.

They also provided a shuttle to and from a great crab cake restaurant for the rest of us to get lunch.

There is a nice breakfast in the morning.

Only nice things to say about this one!

My soon to be hubby and I needed a short getaway from wedding plans. We only had a couple days and wanted someplace compact to be able to get around to see as much as we could quickly. I really chose the right place. We arrived at BWI with no prior experience in shuttle service. I used the phone near baggage claim to call the hotel. He was so nice and very explanatory on where to meet the shuttle driver. She arrived within 10 mins and was very sweet.

We were at the hotel in minutes and despite being early for check-in, got our room immediately. The front desk was super polite and answered our questions fully. Our room was typical with a king bed. Carpet was slightly worn looking. Bathroom nice but whole room was yellowed due to smoke. That was expected though because we are smokers ourselves. Bed was very comfortable. We got menus at check-in for delivery to room for local pizza and chinese joints. We tried one chinese place late Sat. and a pizza place late on Sun. Enjoyed the to- room delivery.

Shortly after arriving and getting settled we decided to go to the Inner Harbor. One short call to the front desk had the shuttle ready to take us to light rail stop. Driver helpful with advice on what to do at the harbor. Upon return on light rail (which was slightly scary due to some drunk, unruly passengers), we used our cell phone to call a number which driver had given us a card of and request a shuttle ride. They picked us up with-in 15 mins. Again polite and prompt.

We used free shuttle several times. What a convenience when you don't have a car or know where everything is! All it cost was a well deserved tip. Continental breakfast was very diverse and nice to wake up to. Also had full-time free beverage bar : coffee, juice, milk, hot tea, hot cocoa and fresh baked cookies which we took advantage of. Free pc/ net use was nice to check our flight, etc. Did have to wait awhile to use it due to someone "playing" on it.
We even wanted to stay another night we enjoyed the hotel so much. They did end up putting out of order sign on one elevator for a day but other elevator wasn't busy so no big deal. Didn't get to use the pool due to odd open hours, lifeguard's breaks, and then it was closed for cleaning most of Sunday. That was disappointing!

Over-all very nice service, great location- close to medieval times which is in a great mall with a neat movie theater, and good price for the room!

Nice hotel in the airport hotel area. Clean, relatively quiet (despite being on the top floor by the airport). Nice size room for the price (cheaper booking on-line). They have coffe, tea & juices 24/7, fairly good breakfast (waffles, cereal, bagels, english muffins, eggs & sausage) which was not crowded. There are plenty of restaurants within 10 minute drive (mostly at Anne Arundel Mall). Was there for an event in Baltimore, but did not want to stay in the city, this is a great alternative, only 10 - 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore. Overall enjoyed the stay.

When we read the reviews of several hotels in the Baltimore area we noted most were very bad and recommended spending a few dollars more to stay somewhere nice. We chose Country Inns BWI because it was close to the light rail into Baltimore and the reviews were good. We were pleased to learn this place FAR exceeded our expectations!! From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated as "customers" the whole time rather than as an inconvenience! ALL the staff were helpful and polite. They shuttled us to the rail stop and to the restaurant, we didn't have to move our car once during our stay. The breakfast was more than what we are used to when included in the price. The coffee bar/drink bar was open 24/7 which is a really nice convenience. The lobby is inviting. The rooms were nice, roomy, CLEAN, and comfortable (although I didn't like the pillows, sorry) and any outside sound was not a bother at all (although walls between the rooms did allow us to hear normal conversations next door). Plus they recommended a great local restaurant (and took us there). So, the worst I can come up with are the pillows and neighbors, the rest more than made up for these minor flaws and we hope to go back again! Thank you Country Inns!
