Although this review is from last May (2006), I felt it needed to be written...talk about an event! This was something that should be experienced by everyone in their lifetime, and Dolphin Fleet is the best with which to do it. We went out not knowing what to expect, but came back totally speechless! Our trip had us sighting over 15 whales - including the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale - and countless dolphins. It was amazing. The pictures I got were incredible, and the oohs and aahs from everyone on the trip indicated that it was exciting for everyone. The crew and scientists on board were fantastic, and their knowledge was incredible. At one point, a whale was directly off one side of the ship feeding. It disappeared and within moments appeared RIGHT next to the boat on the other side - like it was putting on a show for us! It was so close you could've reached out and touched it! Sorry for all the gushing, but this was such an amazing experience! Definitely do this if you're on the Cape - you won't regret it!

We just took their whale watching trip, which is the last of the season. We got to see around half a dozen sightings and a mola-mola. Was a lot of fun and these guys did not really rush back. Enjoyed the scenery and two cute whales - Echo and Lavalier! Go Dolphin Fleet ;-_

Just back from a weekend trip to P-town and my 3rd time whalewatching with Dolphin Fleet.

This was the most amazing experience ever!!! At one point there were between 25 -30 humpback, finback and minke whales within 1/4 mile of the boat. At times there were as many at 8 surrounding our boat on all sides feeding! I blew 3 rolls of film and then just sat back to enjoy the spectacle. I just sent my film off today for processing and can't wait to see the results.

Although this was an unusual experience generally you will encounter half a dozen or more on a trip. Our naturalist who was announcing on the trip was practically shrieking with excitement there was so much activity. He said it had been the best trip out in the past 7 years.

Dolphin Fleet is the oldest company and has the most comfortable boats and fastest fleet in P-town. The faster the boat the more you get to see. They've been in business for 31 years and deserve the patronage.

We recently took the whalewatch trip with the Dolphin Fleet because our innkeepers said they were the best. They are real scientists who are knowledgeable and caring about the whales. You will learn a lot. We saw six whales the day we went and it was a wonderful experience. They were not in a hurry to get back to shore and took some extra time to follow the last whale sighting. They also issue vouchers to return if no whales are spotted. Very accommodating fleet.
