We had an overnight stay here last month in one of the lakeside rooms on the ground floor. This was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was nice to chill out on our personal deck overlooking the lake. There was a swimming pool here which looked quite clean. Best of all was the Bombay Indian Restaurant on site – we love Indian food – and this was the best!! The waiters were friendly.We can recommend this place for dinner. The only down-side was the continental breakfast in the morning, which was very basic – only just adequate.

Keep those lousy reviews coming, because this place is terrific. Unassuming, a very good Indian restaurant on the premises, and on a beautiful lake with many rooms overlooking it. You can sit on your porch overlooking the lake and read or think, take out a canoe and paddle around it, or head off to Tanglewood and Berkshire hikes, which are all nearby. Stop being so snooty everyone, and realize what this place has to offer.

Very officious reception staff...room not prepared...it was cold and stale...when I said that we would not be staying, they charged $30 cancallation fee...restaurant not open that night nor the bar...one of the reasons that we booked....do not stay here

A very old and quaint property. The floors squeak, the hall walls need fresh paint, etc but it is sorta OK for a 1 night passthru. But make sure you pay under $60, or go elsewhere. The furniture is not moved in the rooms when they vacuum, so the dirt is obvious. The edges of the floors in the halls are not vacuumed. The night we were there there had been a water main break in the morning and our water was brown. The lines had not been cleaned out and the rooms were not checked. No notice when we checked in and no bottles of water to help us during our stay.

Walls were dirty with splashes that seemed very old. Pillows smelled of people smell. Continental breakfast was very minimal with no water but had no cost. Not a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express!
