“A lovely haven of civilisation”

Carriage House Provincetown

Jun 23, 2008

My partner and I had a very enjoyable stay at The Carriage House. The guesthouse is well located and convenient for Provincetown's many bars, restaurants and shops but is just far enough from Front Street to be a relaxing and peaceful haven of calm.

Our room was extremely clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. There's a lovely courtyard where we sat out and ate our breakfast each morning. There's also a sauna and hot tub, though we never found the time to use these. Best of all though, was the friendly and personal service from all the staff.

We thoroughly recommend The Carriage House and would certainly stay there again if/ when we return to Provincetown.

“Beautiful Ptown Guesthouse”

Carriage House Provincetown

I stayed 4 nights at The Carriage House last week and had a wonderful time. Angus and Ken were both amazing hosts and the house was impeccable. Very, very clean, quaint, functional, etc. The bed was very comfortable with great sheeting and blankets. The decks and patios were friendly and inviting. There was breakfast every morning and a drink/ coffee station open all day long. A large library of DVD's to watch, homemade lemonade, wireless internet, large clean and new jacuzzi tub, very centrally located for walking or biking anywhere in Ptown.

I feel that staying at The Carriage House was a great bit of what made my trip to Ptown so memorable and relaxing. I felt like it was my home while staying there and that meant a lot to me.

Thanks again Ken, (tell Bradley I say hello)

“Value & Service - Excellent”

This guesthouse/hotel was very cozy. There was wonderful breakfast food, we had a beautiful clean room, ptown is a quaint little town, but what made our trip was the excellent service and wonderful value for money we enjoyed at the carriage house.

All the common areas are well kept and were extremely clean, and always smelled that way. It feels spacious, lots of outdoor and indoor common areas, more so than you would imagine for only having twelve(?) rooms.

If you are familiar with Provincetown, you know that parking is tough. There is limited parking at this hotel and spaces only come with some rooms, check before booking. We did not have a space with our room but they managed to accommodate our car in the end.

The Carriage House is in the heart of Provincetown, close to all the shops, restaurants, nightlife etc. Everything is within walking distance.

We would definitely stay here again!

“Warning! Attitude Free Zone”

Carriage House Provincetown

5 of 5 stars
Palm Springs, CA

I have been coming to P-Town for ten years, and am so grateful to have found the Carriage House. It seems that so often one encounters quite a bit of "attitude" in gay resort towns (insecurity, maybe?). I live in a gay resort so I see it alot. I'm not sure what causes this phenom, but you won't find it at this inn. No fussy-ness allowed!

These guys are friendly, smart, funny and very good natured. They have thought of everything, and make it look so effortless. Everyone we encountered was pleasant, efficient, and very helpful.

Top quality across the board. Breakfast was beautifully displayed every morning with lots of variety and very fresh. The soaps and shampoo, etc. in the room are Molton Browne (never seen that in hotels even twice as expensive as here).

In short, stay here! You can't be dissappointed, and the break from "high queen" attitude is refreshing to say the least!

“Carriage House is a gem”

Carriage House Provincetown

My wife and I stayed at the Carriage House recently for three nights and we enjoyed our visit very much. We loved the layout and its well appointed spaces plus the nice breakfasts and conversation with other guests. It was a special anniversary for us and I called ahead to order a dozen roses which Angus assured me would be in the room when we arrived. They were, and they were quite beautiful and in a lovely vase. That meant a lot and we'd love to stay at the Carriage House again!
