“good food, good function room too”

I attended a delightful dinner for a relative, with about 40 other guests. The function room on the side of the restaurant worked well, though it was a bit chilly (dinner was in may). The view is great, and the food was very good.

I suspect the view is better than the food, but that still makes it a great place to go for dinner if you are in the neighborhood.

“Great menu, Tasty food!”

I live an hour from this restaurant and ALWAYS make sure I have time to swing in for a meal when in the area. This place never lets me down! Everything was so fresh tasting and the service was perfect! I love how they focus on only using the freshest ingredients from their area! Great concept! One of the best on the southcoast.

The only thing that could make this place better is if summer people couldn't go to it. the only place to get Pimm's in Massland.

After multiple visits to the Back Eddy by land and sea, in mid-summer and New Year's Eve over several years, it remains one of my all-time favorite dining destinations.

The Back Eddy has it all -- outstanding food, efficient but always friendly service and a setting that lovers of the sea simply cannot resist. What's more, they somehow manage to tailor the menu to the seasons without discarding tried and true favorites that bring back regulars like me -- even though it's over an hour and a half each way by car from greater Boston. Top marks!

Great atmosphere and great food! If you like sunset over the water you'll love it here. All the staff and servers are efficient and friendly. I especially miss Jessica who is no longer there. Don't hesitate to try the Back Eddy, you won't be sorry.
