This place is not what it used to be. It's dirty, and so are many of the clientale, which is not the park's fault. Many of the workers are young, and not the sharpest tools in the shed. It is highly overpriced, as is the food. It's too bad, because this place used to be a lot of fun, but not so much anymore.

My wife and two daughters just returned from Worlds of Fun. They had a good mix of rides and shows. My daughters are just above the age for kiddie rides and they had a great time. There is an area for small children that looked good. We spent one day and were able to ride all the rides. We went on a Friday in early June and the lines were unexpectedly short. We did not go to Oceans of fun which is next door. The park was very clean. The food was good, but overpriced. We stayed in our RV in the World of Fun Village for three nights. The park is located within a short driving distance of many other attractions. Make sure that you take advantage of the many discounts offered on their web site

Worlds of Fun used to be locally owned but was purchased by an out-of-state corporation a number of years ago. The bathrooms are just filthy, we went to more than one in the park and they were all the same. The park hours are much less now. It closes earlier but costs more. Most of the cute shows have been closed--the dolphin show, the bird show, the magic show, the outdoor arena that brought in talent from all over the country, they are all gone--the couple of shows still left have never changed since in all the years since the sale, so same songs, same jokes, same sets & costumes year after year. If you saw it in the 1980's you can go back and see the very same thing. The Octoberfest has been axed to be replaced by an extremely frightening, dark, gory, Halloween thing. No child should be taken to this. No adult either. Well loved rides have been eliminated only to be replaced by roller coasters and nothing but roller coasters or things that cost extra. Much of the park decor is orginal and is getting crumbly and showing its age. Almost all of the employees are teenagers, so the park is run like you would expect some place would be with teenagers in charge.

We visited just after school started and if you are a roller coaster lover then you have the right place. If you want a theme park that has things to do and see then go to Branson to Silver Dollar City. We paid full price to just get into the park to find out that all of the shows were closed. The reason was all of the actors had gone back to school. In Branson if the park is going to lose all of their actors then they close it or they get new entertainment. Not here. We had our 10 year old that is not quite ready for roller coasters and my wife and I are not thrill ride seekers and there was nothing there to do or see. All of the gift shops (the few) are all the same and there was either something for little little kids in the snoppy area or a roller coaster. See if you like roller coasters then you will like it. If you want to sett down and see a show do not come to this place. Like I said we paid full price and got nothing for it. I emailed the management in disasatifaction and they blew me off. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK.
