There is somewhat a problem with the name of this property. It is listed in some tour books as the "Ameritel Inn". This property was sold to the Country Hearth Inn & Suites, a national chain headquartered in Atlanta, GA, and the sign out front reflects this new name. The property is very inviting from the outside and has a large parking area. The lobby area is large with a few very comfortable chairs. The registration personnel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was 203 near the front of the building and near main street of Elko. Highway noise was not a problem. The room was much larger than the standard one double bed room. The room was very clean, had two easy chairs with a large table between them. There was also a work desk with chair. I don't remember if there is a computer outlet. A refrigerator was under the sink and no microwave. Bathroom was a separate room with all facilities working well except the hot water in the shower. It was very hard to maintain a constant hot water temperature. The breakfast area had a large selection of breakfast food and a 8 to 10 table area. There is a very large indoor pool and separate small whirlpool area. Also nearby is a good size workout room with a few pieces of equipment. One problem with this property - it has NO ELEVATOR, only stairs, to reach the second floor. If one has many suitcases it could take a few trips to get the cargo to the second floor. My wife and I were very satisfied with our three day stay and would stay here again when in Elko.

We were pleasantly surprised. We just needed a place to rest and swim for a night (we were on a road trip with 3 boys (8 - 11 yrs)). The rooms were clean, pool was indoors, fresh cookies in the afternoon and free continental breakfast in the morning. Perfect for families. The hotel name has changed, but the phone number is the same.

If you are a business traveler, just passing through, or looking for a base to explore the Ruby Mountains this is the place to stay in Elko.

It is clean, modern, well appointed and well staffed. Myself and many people in my company have stayed at this hotel extensively over the past and they have always been accomodating and welcoming, even when faced with some strange requests from people who are working on the road.

The breakfast is the best included continental breakfast I have have ever encountered in my travels with lots to offer. They also have a huge pool, adequate work out room and offer complimentary fresh baked cookies in the evening.

My husband and I have stayed at the Elko Ameritel on three different occasions and look forward to doing so again. The rooms are large, clean, quiet and comfortable. They have real towels as opposed to the paper towel variety you might find in comparably priced motels. The staff is professional and friendly. The location is good (take the highway exit 303).
The breakfast is the best we've found and the afternoon fresh baked cookies alone are enough to keep us coming back.
