“Nothing but the best...”

From the moment we arrived at the resort we were treated as if we were the only guests at the hotel. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to the Regency Club floor which of course we accepted. The staff was receptive to every request we made (the iron was missing in our room, a replacement arrived within five minutes of requesting one). From the front desk staff (Jeff) to the concierge desk workers (David) to the valet (who drove us to dinner in Incline Village and then returned to pick us up within 5 minutes of calling) everyone was great!

A shuttle runs to Diamond Peak every half hour and is only a three minute bus ride away. Lift tickets can be purchased in the hotel so you can head straight to the slopes. The pool temperature was great (80 to 90 degrees) and the hot tubs were great too! It's odd to be in the pool surrounded by snow.

The ride from Reno takes about 40 minutes, and you should allow for a stop atop Mt. Rose as it is the greatest place for a photo op. We booked a ride through the hotel and Jerry met us at the airport. Expect about $100 each way for a cab, but it is the quickest way to the resort. We rented a car at the hotel for the trip back to Reno and I must recommend this. It is also about $100 and it's worth being able to take your time and see other resorts.

“Amazing”

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort

this hotel is absolutely amazing. everything around you is so beautiful. I stayed with my family in the villas just steps from the actual hotel. The people were always SO nice. The beach is excellent. We rented jetskis, and went waterskiing. The instructors were great but i sticked to tubing. :o)
There's so much to do in Tahoe, i've been going since 2004 and stayed 2 weeks each time. I've gone parasailing, mini-golfing, ice-skating, cable car riding, horseback riding, boat riding, shopping, skateboarding, biking, swimming, and much much more. You wouldn't believe how great this place is. The water is so clear and pretty, but it tends to be very cold, so if you're not one of those people who like the cold, bring a wetsuit!
the spa is great too, but kind of expensive.
Check out Zephyr cove in the California part of south lake tahoe, you can rent all kinds of water gear!
For eating i recommend Big water grill, Char Pit, Jake on the Lake, and The lone Eagle Grill.

“not clean”

While I have stayed at the Hyatt before and had a wonderful experience, I was disappointed at our most recent stay. We stayed 1 night for New Year's Eve. I had asked for a room (4 people, 2 dbl beds) overlooking the swimming pool/mountains. Instead we got a room on the opposite side with a view of the roof and parking lots. The clock/ipod player in the room was not working. It was unplugged and while trying to plug it in, found a used condom. The emergency flashlight in the nightstand did not work. The bathroom was only 1/2 clean. There was old, dried urine behind the toilet and we only 2 glasses and 3 towels for 4 people. I had asked for additional towels before we arrived. Also, no coffee pot (had one in other room). The room was stuffy and no matter what we did, the heat would not turn off. But we tried to look at the good parts. The temp was 28 degrees outside, but the pool was warm and a welcome relief. Workout room is small and very warm & has good equipment. Thankfully, even with the holiday, it was quiet on the 6th floor.

“Beautiful Surroundings!”

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort

4 of 5 stars
Sterling, Kansas

Attended a conference at this hotel. The hotel was nice. The rooms were large and mine had a nice view of the pool and mountains. I did have some trouble regulating the temperature in the room. It was pretty cold outside (a little snow) and the room seemed to go from too hot to too cold and back to hot frequently. The meeting spaces for the conference were very nice. The casino is very small and not many people gambling, which was a positive for me. The black jack dealers were friendly and helpful. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful destination and this was a very nice place to stay.

“Christmas Holiday Magic”

Our 5 day stay at the Hyatt Sierra Lodge was nothing less than Fabulous!
Accustomed to the 5 star luxury of the Hyatt Regency Resorts – we were a bit reluctant to book a condo stay. Sur-prise.. Sur-prise!!! Our 2bd, 2ba condo accommodated our family of 5 just perfectly. Beautifully decorated throughout with private and spacious bedrooms; the master bedroom featured a Jacuzzi tub, the shared living areas included a modern & fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 6. Adjacent to a living room, a convertible leather sofa (bed)and 2 extra wing chairs facing the cable-ready plasma TV and “flick-on” fireplace. A furnished view deck of the snowcapped mountains and whispering pines completed our vision of a winter wonderland. We had access to the clubhouse…60+ plasma TV atop the fireplace. Several game tables and a billiard (pool) table are located in the rear. Access to 2 outdoor BBQ’s allowed us to entertain visiting kin. Food/room service, maid service is also available - all of the amenities of a hotel stay YET the freedom to whip up a midnight snack – What more can you ask for? NOTE: High Maintenance Guests - NO PROBLEM. The staff and management team anticipate your every need and are available to lend a hand 24/7. NO… we did NOT get paid or granted special favors to write this review. See for yourself – Enjoy the splendor of Lake Tahoe!!
