“Very nice meal, I recommend B&B”

B&B Ristorante

My gf and I booked B&B at the last minute (8 pm on a Friday from our hotel room) for a 9:45 meal. Luckily, we were able to be seated. The staff from host/hostess to our classy waiter (a nice, cool, young,& friendly asian gentleman) were superb.

I noticed that one reviewer had a 1 out of 5 stars for this establishment. I can genuinely say that is preposterous. This restaurant truly delivers. I'll list the things we had and give a brief rundown:

1) Split the lobster and pasta prima piatti (we both weren't starving) . They gladly split the course and it was enough for both of us to savor the great flavor produced by the dish.

2) I had the duck while my gf had the quail. Both dishes were very delicious and both were of modest size but great quality.

3) We didn't eat desert as we were stuffed from the #1 and #2 listed above.

Overall, the meal was about 150USD and that included 1-2 stiff mixed drinks from the bar. We were satisfied with everything from a to z.

pros: great intimate dining restaurant. 2 person tables are intimately arranged. a couple next to us had a long conversation with the waitstaff as they chose their wine. the staff were friendly and definately not in over-abundance.

cons: n/a

“Dreadful”

Dreadful. Too many waiters on the floor buzzing around, which caused too much noise and disturbance to relax . Some of the noise and unrelaxed state was caused by Jimmie Hendrix music blasting overhead throughout the meal. When we inquired as to why Jimmie Hendrix music was being played, the waiter replied that the owner loved hard rock. Well then the owner should have opened a Hard Rock Cafe. Meal portion entirely too small and overpriced. My husband and I left hungry. When we asked to view the wine list the sommelier was only interested in recommending wines that were $300.00 or more in price.

“Worth the $$$”

We had a post show dinner at B&B in June 07. The price was high, but we left feeling it was well worth it.
The place is very small. We had a 9:30 reservation, and the hostess was willing to seat us in close quarters to two other tables so we waited until one with a little more space opened up. They were quite nice about it. There was a very loud large party in the center of the restaurant which was a problem since the place is so small but fortunately they finished up before our entrees arrived. We started with the Salumi appetizer and the roasted beet salad. Both were excellent starters.
The wine list is simply overwhelming for diners who have little familiarity with Italian wines. We relied on the sommelier who recommended an excellent wine based upon our description of what we liked and our price range.
I had the special of the night, a pasta which was an italian butter and black truffle concoction. Truth be told I wish I'd gone with my first instinct which was the bolognese pasta as the flavor of butter was a little too much in the special pasta whereas the truffle was shaved on top and didn't provide much truffle flavor to the dish. Still it was expertly cooked and I finished it all. My companion went with the fennel sausage orcchiette and was very happy with the choice. For dessert we had the donut type thingies dipped in chocolate. Delicious with our coffees. Much like beignets.
Be warned that the portion sizes are not what we overfed Americans expect, especially in an italian restaurant. But they were just right for us, and allowed us to try several appetizers, pasta and dessert without feeling stuffed.
We loved this experience and will return. Service was professional, friendly and for the most part not arrogant as sometimes happens in these "designer" restaurants.
The restaurant is tucked away behind the Blue Man Group box office and the resort signage is not too helpful in finding it. If you walk directly toward the Blue Man Group box office you will see it down a little hallway to the left of the box office.

“New Mario Batali restaurant in Las Vegas”

B&B Ristorante

Tried B&B on May 18, 2007 - they've only been open a month. Latest venture from Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich -I've eaten at their Becco restaurant in NYC. Had a res for 6pm and were seated promptly. Staff was very attentive and eager. Food was good, but not great. Homemade salumi appetizer was very tasty. Orecchietti with sausage and broccoli rabe was disappointing; pasta was overcooked and sauce was too overwhelming-couldn't appreciate the sausage or broccoli rabe. Skirt steak was cooked well, but overly salty. Whole branzino was very nice, served with lemon jam. No dessert, just after dinner drinks. Highly recommend the Nardini grappa and Pyrat XO rum.
