May 28, 2008 was our second visit here and I already anticipate the next.

Excellent ambience, exceptional service and delicious, original food.

Michael Mina should stick with seafood! I wanted to love this steakhouse, but thought it was really bad. They did not have their highly touted lobster blt and soup so I settled for...? The appetizer escapes me, it was so ordinary. But the porterhouse steak for 2, and the stuffed artichoke side will stay forever etched in my mind. The worst cut of meat I have had in years! Tough, with a lighter fluid aftertaste. The artichokes were indedible as well. They tasted like they were preserved in some rancid acid wash! The creamed spinach inside was nasty, too. The service was excellent, and the waiter was sorry to hear about the meal, but we had to go to a show, so nothing could be done for us. We payed full price and left hungry. I thought the filet at Prime was bad, not compared to this experience.

First the good- loved the duck fat fries- best french fries I have ever had! Very good rib eye steak, nice bag of homemade carmel corn at end of meal to go home with, nice waitress. Now the bad- one of the loudest places I have ever eaten at, one of the most uncomfortable chairs I have sat in at an expensive staekhouse. I literally had to yell at my husband to be heard it was so loud. Wish I had just gone back to Delmonicos in the Venetian instead.

My wife and I decided to try StripSteak on this trip to vegas. I have been to most of the top steak places in Vegas with the exception of Nine at The Palms. Let me tell you that StripSteak absolutely shined. Our waiter Peter had alot to do with it. He was very informative and clearly loved serving high end food. We had a great time with him , he even allowed me to try a few different glasses of wine - and gave an extra side dish with the meal compliments of him and the chef- The first course were their famous duck fries done three ways with three sauces Very good though still fries - nothing other worldly- Next we had the trio of tuna poppers Albacore, Toro and of course Ahi- Very yummy !!! Then the main course - Lamb chops for my wife Excellent- and the 10 0z filet for me- Outstanding- What a great taste- Peter told us it is because of the hour poaching in butter ! I am tough to please with steak because I do a great job at home for alot less $$$ But this was awesome The sides of Truffled Mac and Cheese, Asparagus and Goat cheese Potatoes were so so good- Finally we finished off with the Dunking Donuts with three sauces My wife was in heaven ! Overall very very good I certainly recommend it
