We were booked into the Grand Tower on a US69 special. However when we arrived on Apr 29th at approx pm we were told there were no rooms with king beds (Just two queens). I was very polite but insisted I needed a king bed. The lady at check in was great. She said she would put us in the west wing instead although it would be a low floor (we never ever get decent views so this didn't bother me - I'd rather have a good nights sleep).
Anyway, I was a bit worried about west wing (having read previous reviews).
Got to the room and I was a bit surprised at the bathroom area - very odd! Frosted green doors for shower and toilet and there was no door between room and bath area. The mirror had a tv on it (which took us about 3 days to work out what it was!)
Room wasn't massive but had a large pillow top king bed which was extremely comfy. There was a large wardrobe with safe and tv/dvd player.
Managed to go to the pool area twice - went around the lazy river which was great. Only ate in the cafe once and at the food court a couple of times. We always tend to go out to other hotels when we're in Vegas.
Would probably come back and stay here but we tend to stay in different hotels each time we're in Vegas so it may be a while before we're back at MGM unless we get a fantastic price again (fatwallet)

“Relaxing and Comfortable”

MGM Grand Hotel and Casino

A friend and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of April and we decided we'd splurge and stay in the Celebrity Spa Suite equipped with a Jaccuzi Tub in the washroom. Checking it was very easy, thank goodness there weren't any conventions checking in at the same time. The entrance was very grand and yes they do use a perfume deodarizer to cover up the smoke when you first walk in but you get used to it. The suite was really big and we liked the extra space. King size beds are very comfortable and yes the pillows are a little hard but there are softer ones in the closet up top. I would definetely stay in this room again. Next time though I would like to be a little closer to the other end of the strip. My friends stayed at Treasure Island and said it was wonderful so next time I'll be going there. The casino at the MGM is nice and I won a bit on the slots. The pool was gorgeous and the frosty drinks you can buy are sooo yummy. Ya they are $10 each but hello your in Vegas so quit your cryin! I checked out their lazy river which you tube around on this windy river thing and there was a lot of kids so I didnt bother but it did look cool.

Best of luck on your stay.

“Great stay!”

MGM Grand Hotel and Casino

We arrived on May 6th after the De La Hoya Boxing match. We thought we were going to be waiting for a room and waiting in line for check-in. We stayed off the strip on Sat because of the match on Sat and knew it would be crazy at MGM.

We had a great experience with the MGM as soon as we walked in. Even with all the people checking out, we got a room promptly for $69.00 a night for the hotel promo. What a great deal. We could have upgraded but decided for the price and the time you are never in your room that we would stick to the $69.00. Also with this we received free comps. $25.00 off at many of the restaurants and 2 free drinks at West Wing.

Our room was on the 8th floor-room 432 and it was so nice. Very clean and the beds are heavenly. (better then at home) We didn't have the greatest view, but no bother to us really. The bathrooms are all marble and clean as well.

The casino and hotel itself is massive (as many of the hotels on the strip are) We enjoyed all the fine restaurants/shopping and pools that MGM Grand had to offer.

The pools were great and it was wonderful to sit under the hot Vegas sun and relax.

I would recommend the MGM and will gladly stay there again.

Customer Service was great and the rooms are clean with the most comfy beds.

Have a fun time in Vegas!

“Loved everything about this hotel”

MGM Grand Hotel and Casino

Before we chose our hotel in vegas were were warned that this was much too big a hotel (tales of a thirty minute walk from lift to entrance etc) When you go to vegas everything is bigger than you could possibly imagine and the MGM was just brilliant. Room Service was second to none and cleanliness was a big priority. The concierge could'nt have been more helpful and we just adored the staff and whole experience.
The only thing i would have liked is to be more in the centre of the strip but that was only because i had an operation prior to leaving and had pain when walking. If we went back 'which we fully intend to do' we would definately stay at the MGM.

“MGM - Las Vegas as it Should BE”

We last stayed at the MGM in Las Vegas July of 2005. That was the fourth year in a row we stayed at the MGM. We are going back this July 2007 to stay for 4-nights and 5-days. We will be getting two rooms for my family of five. The total cost for two rooms, air fare and all taxes for five persons is $2730. We love the MGM. It has a great atmosphere about it and the location is right where we want to be. One of our favorite attractions at the MGM is the pool area. They have five or six swimming pools, a waterfall, a "river", multiple hot tubs and poolside bars throughout an amazing jungle themed comlpex covering several acres. Our three kids would rather go to MGM than Disney Land. Just outside the MGM is an amazing game room, a convenience store with everything, the All Things M&Ms and the All Things Coca-Cola stores (about 5-floors each), a food court and a movie theatre. This is all just right outside MGM on the Strip. Inside the MGM there is a huge food court that even has a Starbucks. The shops and restaurants within MGM offer a wide variety to choose from at prices from reasonable to expensive. All in all, I highly recommend a stay at the MGM!

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — The jungle themed swimming pool and water park area is the place to be on a summer day in Vegas!
    • Disliked — Checking in and checking out can be a bit tedious if you catch the front desk at the wrong time.
