“great stay at the NY NY”

my friend and i came to las vegas in june for 3 nights to see Elton john's red piano and we stayed at the NY NY. Check in was very fast and efficient. finding our room was easier than i tought. the room was decent and convenient. nothing luxurious but comfortable and spacious. but what i liked the most about the New York New York is the casino floor with its restaurants and bars made to look like ny streets... i loved it

“Think twice before staying here”

I had to stay here because of the meeting I was attending. The room needed a good vacuuming. You could see dust buildup under the desk, etc. Bathroom floor had hair which had not been cleaned. Internet in the room was 14.99 per day. The wireless feature would not travel to the meeting rooms. If you want wireless while in the meeting rooms, you must have a contract for $700....ridiculous. I asked for a bathrobe to be sent to the room and was told it would be 15 minutes - 7 hours later I called again because it was still not delivered. Even though the hotel claims I was in one their 'refurbished' rooms, the bed left a lot to be desired....I tossed all night trying to get comfortable. When I used the business center to print out my boarding pass for my flight home - I was charged $5 for this 30 second operation.
If stuff like this doesn't bother you and you don't mind being nickle and dimed to death, have at it.

“The Best Place To Stay In Vegas”

Had a great time in the new york new york hotel. Check in was quick, however we requested a non-smoking room and they gave us a smoking room. They said we could have a non-smoking room for an extra $5 a night but we chose to stay in the smoking room, it didn't smell of smoke so it was fine. In my opinion, new york new york has the best casino. Its not the biggest but it has everything u need and its layed out very well. The only thing that was annoying about the hotel is its location. Its a bit out of the way so be prepared to do alot of walking.

“Ok hotel, mediocre overall”

We just returned from 4 nights at NYNY. It was Ok -- we didn't have a bad experience, but we weren't wowed either.

We tried to check in at 2:30pm but were told to come back at 3pm. When we returned at 3pm, they only had rooms available that didn't match our request. In the end, we didn't check-in until 5pm. They happily stored our bags while we gambled away our money while waiting.

Noteworthy:

- The rooms are spacious and clean. Not luxurious, but you get what you pay for.
- The pool area is small... we reserved a cabana but we could have got away with going down ~ 9am to on day of for half the price.
- Currently, there is construction going on in the middle of the gaming floor. There is an unsightly black tarp hanging in the middle of the room. One day we noticed that they were working and making noise, but otherwise it didn't effect us.
- We booked the rooms online and got the Strip View promo. Our room on the 22nd floor had a view of Mandalay Bay, etc. and we could not hear the rollercoaster.
- We enjoyed the Krispy Kreme onsite and Il Fornaio had wonderful lattes and croissants.
- There are no poker tables at this casino resort. That was shocking to us!

Overall, the hotel was good and we really enjoyed Vegas. With so much to do, you don't need to stay in a fabulous hotel to have a good time.

My wife and I had an awesome time in Las Vegas and a good part of that was the terrific suite we had at NYNY. Everything was first class al the way, clean room, great view, great staff and amenities, awesome pool. Would stay here again for sure.
