We just returned from a trip to Mesquite to play a number of golf courses in the area. Our group of 24 golfers travels to a different locale every year and the Oasis spoiled our trip this year. We booked through Highland Estates, which had wonderful 2 bedroom suites that are highly recommended. Most of the courses were up to our expectations except the Oasis. The Oasis has two courses, the Canyon and the Palmer. The Canyon was in very poor shape. The Palmer was in much better shape but we learned of their personnel problems there. We were hasseled by the course marshall throughout the entire round to speed up play and in the end completed our round in 4 hours and 5 minutes. Not bad for a group that has never played there before. We were also met on the course by the director and the golf pro with threats of calling the police.
In the end, I would recommend visiting the area, staying at the Highland Estates, and playing the several other quality courses in the area.
