A family of five paid $40 to ride a train that went approx. 1/2 mile from Virginia City to Gold Hill. The train then stopped at the top of Gold Hil for approx. 3 minutes, then returned to V.C. Four mines were pointed out, but not a lot of history was told about them. The narrator's highlight of the ride, or so it seemed, was the tunnels the train went through. My highlight was the view of my hotel, Gold Hill Hotel, from top of the hill. I suppose the other highlight would be the views of the valley, but you can get that from just about any spot on C Street. Overall, huge disappointment in the historical experience for the area.
