We had our wedding party stay at this location and also at Congress Hall. Our condo (3rd floor, one bedroom) was absolutely beautiful! Very clean, very comfortable and perfect location. Everything was going perfect right up until the point we were loading the car. We passed the maids in the hallway and let them know that we were not ready for cleaning service and they nodded in acknowledgement. When we returned from the first trip to the car, we saw the maids in the hallway again, with a look of horror on their faces. They realized that we were actually gone. They spoke to each other in Spanish re: "telephono" and one of them retrieved our cell phone from the maid's cart and handed it to us. When we got in the room our wedding papers and cake were not where we left them and to top it off they helped themselves to some of our wedding cake! Needless to say we won't be enjoying any of that cake one year from now. When I explained all of this to the front desk, they were not willing to make restitution right then, but were willing to 'work something out' for us on our next visit. At $300 per night, that won't happen again unless it is a VERY special occassion. All that is to say that the accommodations were wonderful but the service was sketchy...and for the price, that is a sad testimony.

We have just returned from a week at the Sandpiper Beach Resort. I was not too sure of what to expect, given the mixed reviews on this hotel. I was not disappointed!!! The hotel is very well located and our beach view was perfect. We were lucky to get the fourth-floor 2-room 1-bathroom unit with cathedral ceiling. Our balconies (one facing the beach and the other the parking) were very private and we had our own key to the beach facing balcony leading to our unit. It was very safe to leave our belongings at the door. The unit was spacious; however there was not a lot of room for clothes and luggage. We had to share shelves in our sons' bedroom. The bathroom was OK, but there was no shelves for personal products. Although the kitchen was nice, the lunch counter was not convenient for family meals. It would be nice to add a small table. We ate on the couch... (not allowed at home!). The hotel is very generous with towels (maybe too generous on a environmental perspective).

Don't forget to bring your laundry detergent and make sure that the maid leaves you diswasher detergent.

On one day, they "forgot" to do our room, as we asked them to come later when they knocked at the door at 9. I did not mind.

The beach service was the ultimate. The service was great and we could ask for all the umbrellas and chairs we wanted. Our sons (10 and 13) really appreciated the beach menu. It is great not to have to carry all the towels and beach chairs in the morning.

The gym is very well equipped. The pool is OK, but we did not come for that.

We loved our stay. If you love good food, we would recommend Moonfish Grill and the Blue Pig Tavern. Also, don't miss the Silver Bullet Dolphin Watching Cruise (if you like to get wet)! The boys loved it.

We just got back from the Sandpiper Resort and I must say that it was a truly wonderful experience. We rented a 1 bedroom/1bath unit facing the ocean. The resort is centrally located, the staff was friendly and very attentive. The suite was absolutely immaculate. Our 2 boys, ages 4 and 7, were very comfortable and they had plenty of space to relax and play. While on the beach, we were provided with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. At lunch time, a staff member came by with a menu, she took our orders and within 20 minutes our lunches were delivered to us and the bill was charged to our room....FLAWLESS...

We booked the same suite for next August, BEFORE we checked out....

This resort and Cape May, in general, are extremely family friendly. We recommend this resort expecially for families with young children.

This is a great property for families. Close to everything with a very helpful staff. Rooms are immaculate and luxurious. We will return.
