I stayed at this hotel October 20-24. I booked this hotel after reading that there was a complimentary shuttle to the casinos. There is not. This was a huge inconvenience as I was attending late night events in Atlantic City that ended well after the last bus. Taxis have a flat rate fee of $25 not the $5 advertised on the website. Despite these significant problems the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. I did not like having curtains that wouldn't close though. I liked that the rooms were separate from the lobby and front desk. I stayed just inside the exit/entrance. I could walk out my room and be in the lobby in under a minute. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping were outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the extensive continental breakfast. I enjoyed being able to get a hot cup of coffee or tea and a cookie or piece of fruit, day or night. The rate was very affordable. My only complaint is with the false advertising regarding transportation.

I walked in to the lobby at 10:30pm without a reservation on Thursday night having just obtained a refund for a totally unacceptable room in a namebrand, nationwide motel chain next door.

The clerk at the desk was nice and offered me a room at a reasonable rate. The room was clean and cold when we first came in but the heater took care of that quickly. The furnishings were fine and the mattress was great. Everything you expect from Holiday Inn and much, much nicer than the room we had just left.

The most pleasant surprise awaited us in the morning. I normally shy away from Free Continental Breakfasts because they are so bad. All I want is a decent cup of coffee. I was taken back by the variety of breakfast items on display given my previous experiences.

Muffins, bagels, danish and fresh cereal in VERY clean, airtight canisters.
All the regular juices, a variety of coffee and teas, milk (skim or regular), half and half -------- I was beginning to think I was at a business conference. Or, maybe, the management saw the Tripadvisor posting from June, because this was the other end of the spectrum.

All in all a very nice ending to what had started out as a REAL bad night.

This hotel charges when you check in (the highest room rate + tax+ incidentals) Then when you check out they charge you for the actual stay. Be careful if your using a debit card it can mess up your account!

I stay in HIE often while on business. Usually they are very nice. This hotel was not. The furniture was dirty. The AC was noisey. The TV channel selection poor. The continetal breakfast was made up of stale donuts and pastries. I would not recommend it.
