“Can't imagine a better value hotel.”

We are fairly travel savvy family, and this is a place we wish we could clone for anytime we need to get a hotel for a short stay.

For a rate of $89 (if you prepaid in full), you can get a 2BR-2BA apartment (basically). Three TV's, DVD/VCR in the living room, complete kitchen (with corkscrew and wine glasses), and a lazy-boy. Room was immaculate, brand-new carpet, free paper at your door in the AM., and a breakfast that would cost at least $25 for a family of four.

Anyone with a bone to pick about this place is either used to 24 hour room service, mini-bars, and a concierge, or they work at one of the many competing area hotels.

A near perfect hotel for our family. Check out Thomas Sweets for ice cream in downtown Princeton, about 10 minutes away by car.

“This is Best Family Hotel ...”

Staybridge Suites Princeton

This suite hotel is one of the best that we ever stay. It is right off Rt 1-S at Princeton. We have been this suite hotel numerous times, and every time we stayed here we were very happy.

We particularly enjoyed stayed at 2br 2ba suites that has full kitchen of full size refrig, standard stove, dish washer, microwave, full set of dishes, forks, knives, bowl, pots ...etc. Living room has TV/VCR and so are both bathrooms. Two full baths make it great for famliy with kids.

During summer time, from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, the out door swimming pool was so nice, and you can have BBQ at the picnic table watching kids swim.

As soon as checked in, kids know where to play basketball or tennis. Even when we don't stay there, we walk around when we pass by and take a rest. The guest bathroom was so nice.

The dining area with big TV and newspapers and complimentary coffee; there is also a small convenient store that you can buy some snacks or noodles to cook.

I know many relocations and corporate training people living in such nice hotel with as long stay as a few months. But we just stayed here for weekend getaways or family reunions.

We love its complimentary sit down hot breakfast with as many variety as one can imagine a great breakfast. Comparing to Courtyard's paid breakfast, we would be willing to pay $40 more to stay here.

We like this hotel very much and I would not hesitate to recommend to any family traveler.

“Poor housekeeping marred experience”

Staybridge Suites Princeton

Stayed 2 nights in August 2004. Perhaps it was just my bad luck, but the suite I got had a lot of problems. The kitchen sink was backed up, and the in-sink disposer did not work. The dishwasher had broken pieces of glass and a puddle of dirty water inside. The toaster had grease inside and smoked like crazy when I used it before noticing the grease. The cordless phone did not work. It was late when I arrived, so I notified the staff the next morning. Some were fixed during my stay, some were not. But in my opinion most of these problems should have been noticed and rectified when the room was cleaned and made ready.

The high-speed Internet in the entire hotel went down until the second afternoon of my stay. Since I relied heavily on this for work, it was pretty disastrous for me. The provider Wayport technical support could not provide an estimated up time, which added to the problem. I did get a discount from the hotel for this problem, which was nice.

If you are considering staying here for business or leisure, you should also know that there appears to be a large number of people staying long-term (i.e. living here, not staying for a week for business or vacation). So you get large groups of people or kids hogging the swimming pool or basketball court, making a racket. Or doing large load of laundry and hogging all the washers and dryers. Just so you know what to expect. In any case, get a room that does not face the courtyward.

It is on Hwy 1 which is pretty busy throughout the day, so it takes about 10-20 minutes by car to get into Princeton.

Apart from these problems, like other Staybridge Suites this place has good facilities and lots of free extras.

“Wasn't very impressed.”

Overall I wasn't very pleased with this hotel for the rate I was paying.

I was booked there a total of 8 nights. 3 the 1st week and 5 the second. Upon arrival for the 1st stint the hotel was overbooked and they sent me across the street to the Holiday Inn and refunded my whole stay which was nice, but it was a pain. The desk clerk was new and really had no clue what was going on. It took about 25 minutes to get it all straight before I headed over to the Holiday Inn. And after staying at the Holiday Inn I was upset I had to go back to Staybridge.

The property was fairly big and had no elevators. It is only 3 stories so it wasn't a bad climb.

Also I was surprised at how many people lived in the hotel full time. There were a lot of windows I saw that had plants and other household items. I didn't really see that many business travelers.

The rooms seems a little dingy to me so I wasn't happy I was going to be there 5 nights. The rooms were a nice size but most of the furniture was very uncomfortable and old.

Haveing the kitchen area was very nice since I was there a few nights I could buy some drinks and chips to keep in the room.

Exercise room sucked with old equipment.

Laundry room was free with your own detergent which is a bonus if you are going to be there a long time.

Breakfast in the morning was very blah. Eggs, sausage or bacon (on different days), cereal, toast, juice, waffles, and a few other packaged things.

There were very few restaurants in the area which was disappointing but it is like that in that area.

Overall I don't think I will stay here again if I'm going to be in town an extended period of time. I'll stay across the street again at the Holiday Inn.

“a great place”

Stayed for about 15 days there with the familiy (spouse and two kids) in a two bedrooms suite.

Excellent place to stay specially with the family. Kids loved it - three TVs, VCRs, Microwave, pools with Hot Tub, with hot breakfast in the morning and then evening snacks with wine and beer. Hot Coffee whole day. Two news papers. All for free ( included in the room rent in whatever way you take it).

And top of it, free high speed DSL internet access and US long distance if you are Wyndham preferred guest members (free signup). You just can't beat the place for value, comfort and space.

Place is clean, comfortable and spacious except that during rainy season, lobby and breakfast room can get some fruitfly. I think they can do better on this aspect. Staff is courteous and nice.

I would say if you are travelling with the kids -you can't do any better than staying at summerfield suites.
